SO proud of Bruno making this MEGA short film!!! NIMBY prod. @mteo.makes dir. @prune.atk dop. @iona.greaves Absolutely mad process - loved every second. Months of prep, recces, emails, meetings, placard painting and more led up to such a wet n wild shoot. What an honour to do 1000 jobs on this mini movie… casting director, art department assistant to the glorious @willow.senior & @jasmine_araujo, 2nd unit director (aka newt shoot), crowd wrangler, supporting artisté to our incredible lead (didnt cast myself that was bruno), and all round fan of BRUNO and MEG and this incredible crew. Thank you to my cast for being amazing and everyone on this film for being a legend. Very exciting updates to come!! 🦎❤️🎻

We’ve just finished our tiny In a Safe and Hidden Place second unit and so I wanted to take the opportunity to share some little moments from set. Take it as an appreciation post for the best crew a trans filmmaker could ask for. Trans kinship is a huge theme in this film, but the allyship involved with making it is incredibly heartening. The public drip-feed of pics and teasers starts here, so keep your eyes peeled! 🏳️‍⚧️❤️📹

🌳 In a Safe and Hidden Place 📹 Introducing Mary Malone and June Thomas, the cast of In a Safe and Hidden Place. Mary is coming to our production fresh out of the role of Helena in the Regents Park Open Air Theatre production of ‘A Midsummer Nights Dream’, she also played the role of Jen in Abigail Thorn’s play ‘The Prince’. On screen, Mary had a recurring role in the Netflix adaptation of Harlan Coben’s ‘Missing You’ as well as a part in Doctor Who’s 2023 Christmas special. June is an actor and photographer whose credits on stage include a recent role in ‘Mud’, produced at Springbok Production House. June is an alumni of The Guildford School of Acting and was trained further within the GAP Workshops for trans and non-binary actors. On the casting of Mary and June, director J says “I can’t believe our luck in casting these two. They’re wonderful, generous and insightful and I think they’re going to take the script into places that I couldn’t have dreamt of myself, working with them is, I’m sure, going to be nothing but a joy.” Production starts in a few weeks, so be sure to follow us for updates and news as it comes! @marymalone___ @jupethom
