𝑪𝒂𝒏𝒆𝒑𝒉𝒐𝒓𝒂 / 𝑹𝒐𝒃𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒂 Last few weeks for me has been learning about Canephora / Robusta species, which has definitely changed my impression towards it. Canephora / Robusta offers more than what people often associate it as being tasting bitter or savoury. It can be fruity, sweet and tea-like coffee which I was truly fascinated by. The new encounters and reunion have allowed me to reeducate my existing stereotypes of Robusta. Especially through having conversations with people who are passionate in sharing how Canephora / Robusta are able to show their unique fruity delicious attributes. I feel more affection and respect towards Canephora farmers. Big thank you to: @fortyseven.coffee @yellow_coat_boi @zerotoone.coffee.uk @sontag.london @intermission.coffee @caravanroastery Cannot wait to learn more about past, present, future story of Canephora 🤎🌿

The CAFEC Brewmasters 2025 - Part 3 I brewed well and on time, but next time, more intensity! I was happy with my approach to this coffee. I felt relaxed, and my recipe was good. If I nailed it on the night, I was in with a chance. The coffee from Plot was nice, so I was looking forward to this event. It's all about the execution on the night. I slightly underdosed and shook too many fines, so my brew wasn't intense or as balanced as I was aiming for. It was bright with lingering florals. I got the flavours I wanted, just a little too much bitterness on the finish, and it costs me points. Timings were spot on. I had 205ml in the carafe like I wanted, etc. I always like to look back at competitions and win or learn. It was interesting to see so many approaches and varied brew styles. Thanks to the organiser, hosts, and attendees! It was a fun night. Congratulations to @whatjuriaisnt, who is the UK 2025 CAFEC Brewmaster. I wasn't joking when I said you're going home, mate. Follow the champ! I've tagged her above. If you want to drink Juria's coffee, she works at @thebarnberlin London branch. 残りのquestionsはThe Weekend Brewにて。
