When Natascha Donhauser @tashsstuff and Justine Wiedemann @jus4ine told us they picked the non-profit organization Kelp Ark @_kelpark_ to donate their matching winnings to, we were thrilled. This organization's mission is to safeguard the future of our oceans. Pairing them with the incredibly talented young filmmakers feels like a match that was meant to be. "Hidden Forests" shows us why it's important to protect and preserve kelp ecosystems while Kelp Ark focuses on the development of an algal seedbank that will lead to necessary research and restoration of marine environments. Join us in celebrating this year's winning filmmakers and their matching grant organizations on September 27 at 10:00am CDT. In-person tickets are almost gone but you can also watch the program online by registering for the free link. 🎟️ OEYFC Global Awards Celebration 🗓️ September 27 ⏰ 10:00 a.m. CDT 📍 Davis Theater @davistheater or online 🔗 register via our website #filmcontest #youngfilmmakers #filmforchange #kelpforest #environmentalactivism
