30th March — World Bipolar Day.
Chosen as the birthday of Vincent van Gogh, someone whose art continues to move people across generations.

There’s something about that connection that feels important to me.

Not because bipolar and creativity are the same thing, or because one romanticises the other. But because for a lot of us, expression becomes a way to make sense of what’s happening inside. Sometimes words don’t fully get there… but art does, in its own way.

Over time, I’ve started noticing how many people within this space have their own form of expression; painting, music, writing, movement. It’s not always about being “good” at it. It’s about having somewhere for all of it to go.

Today felt like a good moment to acknowledge that.

Sharing this, and also sharing some of the people here who express, create, and show up in their own ways. Not as labels, not as definitions just as individuals finding their way through it.

I’m still figuring out what all of this means for me.
