Reposting this due to a few mistakes: Tomorrow, we will be back on air with new shows, starting off with two contributions produced on the occasion of this year's Swiss Art Awards and their on-site program for I Never Read, Art Book Fair Basel. The first one is an excerpt from the publication 'Extreme Cognition' by philosopher Enrico Patracca and artist Ian Wooldridge, who recorded himself reading, accompanied by an AI voice. It is followed by -lalia (2021), a performance soundtrack by Dorota Gawęda and Eglė Kulbokaitė with music by Bill Kouligas. Gawęda and Kulbokaitė have been working and reading together for some years now - the latter within their ongoing format Young Girl Reading Group.

Afterwards, we have Bonaventure's recording of their live score for Taking Care of God (2019-2021) as performed at last year's EOS AIR at Museum Angewandte Kunst, a hybrid piece bridging spiritual and club music and starring Kingdom Gospel Club, a Gospel collective from the Congo. It's followed by a new collaborative mix by WAG5, a rotating group of like-minded visual and sound artists working across various European cities. mnemonics fka diraque produced and recorded a new live set by using field recordings and generative sound.

In the evening, we will stream live from silent green, where Veronika Paleeva & Ivy and Maryana Klochko will premiere new performances. If you are in Berlin, come along; the entry is free.

Tune in, the broadcast starts at 15:00!

We are excited to announce the 5th edition of Plastic Productions which will explore the theme of 'POWER'

Power is the social production of an effect that determines our capacities, actions, beliefs, or conduct. It can be displayed through physical domination as well as symbolic empowerment, taking structural as well as discursive forms. Power is complex and all-encompassing and it shapes the structures that frame our lives.

For Plastic Productions: POWER we present a fantastic selection of performers, musicians, and artists who will delve into this multifaceted theme, offering a kaleidoscopic exploration of one of the fundamental aspects of human existence.

Date&Time: 14th of April, 19:30-00:30

Tomorrow is the premiere of @fluct_monica‘s “all things under dog, where two things are always true”, which we have co-presented together with @performance.space.new.york and @hauberlin.

First seen last month at HAU2 as part of #3hd2022, the performance was an abstracted response to the festival’s ungraspable notion of “space,” within gravitationally-bound systems of support amongst people. Monica applied the somatic technique of “unblocking” to movement artists & collaborators #ReedRushes, #KateWilliams, #JoyNorton, #AmandaWallace, #MaxiHawkeyeCanion, #BullyFaeCollins, #JustynaChaberek, #DanSu, #SharlanAdams, who were taught to identify and reify memories, as a means to process information physically.

What an honour to have had the entire ensemble here in Berlin, and nurture this captivating and touching performance into existence 🫀

3ʜᴅ 2022: ʟɪꜰᴇ, ᴛʜᴇ ᴜɴɪᴠᴇʀꜱᴇ, ᴀɴᴅ ᴇᴠᴇʀʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ✨🛸 🌍
#MonicaMirabile premiered her “All things under dog, where two things are always true” ensemble piece, as part of #3hd2022, at #HAUHebbelamUfer on Oct 21 & 22.

The nuanced participatory performance is a #CreamcakeBerlin and #PerformanceSpaceNewYork co-presentation, featuring movement artists & collaborators #ReedRushes, #KateWilliams, #JoyNorton, #AmandaWallace, and #MaxiHawkeyeCanion, and exploring notions of the mafia as a secular ecosystem.

Along with a soundtrack by musician #AaronDavidRoss (#ADR), with music by #Eartheater, the 45-minute collaborative experiment and “psychological thriller” traversed a universe of socially-coded systems and empathic exchange—from care and collective action, to violence and distortions of power.
