WORLD IBD DAY 💜

It’s not just my story. It’s our story.

The story of waking up exhausted before the day even begins.
The story of pain people can’t always see.
The story of hospital rooms, medications, procedures, flare-ups, fear, and fighting to keep going anyway.

It’s the story of missed moments and silent battles. Of learning how to smile through discomfort. Of explaining chronic illness over and over to people who still don’t fully understand.

But it’s also the story of resilience.
Of strength that exists even on the hardest days.
Of patients, caregivers, advocates, friends, and families who continue showing up despite everything this disease tries to take from us.

Inflammatory Bowel Disease is more than a diagnosis. It changes lives physically, emotionally, mentally, and financially. And yet so many people living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are still forced to suffer in silence because their illness is invisible to the world around them.

Today, we raise awareness not for sympathy, but for understanding.
For better healthcare.
For earlier diagnosis.
For research.
For support.
For the people still searching for answers.
For the ones in the middle of a flare trying to survive one day at a time.

To everyone living with IBD: I see you. Your pain is real. Your strength is real. And your story matters.

This isn’t just my journey.
It’s OUR story. 💜 THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED WITH ME

You wouldn’t know @just.bridget77 has extra zippers on her hoodie.

Discreet color matched zippers covered with flaps means she can go from work to labs to infusion to the store.
