Big honors for an absolute superstar in our community! 🌟📜✊🏾

While keeping up with her schoolwork, the amazing Kayla Paschall still finds the time to pour her heart and soul into volunteering with the Zawadi Cultural Collective and Zawadi Troop 3246! From dedication on the ground to helping lead our essential food distribution efforts, Kayla is a shining example of youth leadership in action. 🍎📦❤️

Her hard work, kindness, and relentless service did not go unnoticed! During our massive Juneteenth Celebration at Pierce College, Kayla was presented with an official Certificate of Appreciation from the City of Los Angeles! 🏛️✨🇺🇸

We are incredibly proud of you, Kayla! Thank you for showing us what it means to lead with love and dedication. The future of the San Fernando Valley is so bright with changemakers like you leading the way! 🖤❤️💚💛

Huge love and major appreciation to the place we call home for our celebrations! 🏫🤘❤️

We have to take a moment to give a massive, roaring shoutout to Pierce College (@pierce_college)—Home of the Brahmas! 🐂🎓 Not only are they one of the absolute top community colleges in the San Fernando Valley—consistently paving the way for students transferring to powerhouse universities like UCLA and CSUN—but they also have a massive heart for the community! 🌟📈

Year after year, Pierce College has generously opened up their beautiful Woodland Hills campus, providing the perfect space for the Zawadi Cultural Collective to host our annual Juneteenth Celebration! ✊🏾✨

We are incredibly grateful for this phenomenal partnership and their continued dedication to uplifting culture, community, and education in the Valley. Thank you, Pierce College, for helping us make magic happen! 🖤❤️💚💛

So many fun moments from the Rakim show at the Blue Note LA.

Me screaming songs at the top of my lungs and the DJ switching the song mid scream …uh oh… me and Chevion acting like NYers and ticking off the locals, arguing about “where you’re from versus where you at”… sorry NY all day regardless of me living in LA for 30 years … us singing “we don’t cause trouble, we don’t bother nobody “ and then Chevion telling people they gotta move if they don’t know the words to the old school hip hop songs🤣…having a good belly laugh with Rakim himself because of some backstage shenanigans. Thanks @just_chev for getting me out the house. A time was had. #vestas #newyork #rakim #bluenote losangeles
