This is exactly what I wanted.
Spent years haunted by the grip;
Stunned awkward,
Sun scorched em,
yet no one saw em like you did...

Drummer Orion Turre has performed at the most premier jazz clubs and festivals across the USA as well as having toured the Europe, Russia and the Caribbean. Primarily working as a Jazz drummer in the New York City area, Orion has shared the stage with incomparable Jazz greats such as Ed Cherry, Buster Williams, James Carter, Russell Malone, Bruce Williams, Gerald Cannon, TK Blue, Chief Xian aTunde Adjuah (formerly Christian Scott), Corcoran Holt, Akua Dixon, Steve Turre. In addition to working the city’s top jazz clubs and leading his own band, Orion also performs as a part of Rhapsody, a first-call Jazz band for the most exclusive private events.
An accomplished arranger, Orion has been hired by recording artists and top agencies to put his signature sound on a broad range of material. His most recent arrangements and drumming can be heard on T.K. Blue’s Planet Bluu and The Art of Navigation by June and the Pushas. Beyond performing, Orion has established himself as a top-tier educator. He has been teaching other young musicians since he was only 14, starting with the Carnegie Hall Education Concert Series and the Hip Hop Blues Project. He has been teaching private lessons for over a decade, as well as group classes through non-profit groups Arts for Kids.

We are honored to have Orion Nebula play this installment of “All My Friends Are Dope”

2nd Half of the @waye_poetry open mic. Last Wednesday of the month. We really spit bars this night. With humor, pathos, drama, and reality. The poets embraced the space and took care of business properly. See you next month @surethings__
