First IDPA match.... I wasn't allowed to shoot for actual standing because the @mclearncustompewpews Kopesh is too bad ass for IDPA parameters. However I took 6th overall and had an overall stage win. ( Last stage of the video) The theme of this match was Zombie Apocalypse. Stage designs were fun with alot of them requiring two hits to the head box and quite a few requiring the "Mozambique drill". While I definitely enjoyed the match, USPSA will always have my heart for competitive shooting.

@sofletehq wind jacket for the win.

Quick and dirty review of the @or_tactical Allies Mountain jacket, and what you need out of a rain layer.

TL/DR: the Allies jacket keeps water out, vents heat and moisture even with LBE, and can function as a uniform top without one being worn under it. All requirements of your rain layer in a military / @milsimwest setting.

Let me know what you think and what you’re rocking for wet weather.

Awesome area 4 prep match at Wallis Orchard Practical Shooters this past Sunday. I shot very conservatively and still feel like I need to build my confidence up with the Kopesh. Stage plans were good, hits were good, time definitely needs to be improved. I had a few make ups on steel that definitely slowed me down quite a bit.

28th out of 88 overall and 10th out of 36 in #uspsalimitedoptics with 137 Alphas 36 Charlies 1 Mike and 1 NS ( that I made up for an Alpha ) Total time of 147.68 😤

Last three stages from the @texasshootingvenue Saturday match. Did some things decently well, some things not at all.

Back to the lab as per usual

If your foreign aid package shows up looking like this, you are getting a JDAM dropped on you.

Great Saturday match @texasshootingvenue with the @mclearncustompewpews Kopesh.

I was a bit slow all day but had great hits. Came in 18th out of 62 shooters and 7th in #limitedoptics

Now to really increase my speed and stage planning.

Armorpilled and TQ maxxing at @milsimwest’s The Volga Bridge this Halloween.

I typically don’t run plates in field AOs, but the @3f_supply RRV and MAP pack make it easy to add/drop armor as needed throughout the event so I can tailor my kit to the phase of the operation I’m in.

Cadre who ran the @arcturus.tactical ARM Block 1 M4A1 last event had nothing hit good things to say about its reliability and performance—looking forward to using mine.

What unique kit are you hoping to run with you squad of 8 this season?

Insurgency Kit

I’m already starting to get stoked for this upcoming @mil GTI Insurgency. The new refined format we’ve been running this year focuses on Class Warfare and navigating that terrain.

How have you enjoyed the new Insurgency format? Let us know in the comments below!
