MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR 👋🏼

It’s so wonderful to see new faces here at About The Body! I thought it was time to re-introduce myself.

I’m Rachel, the owner of About The Body and your Pilates, Breathwork, and Meditation Facilitator. Currently, I’m a one-woman show (but I’m manifesting growth—baby steps!).

My passion for movement began in lower school, and more recently, I’ve discovered a deep love for breathwork and meditation. What started as a personal journey to heal anxiety, past trauma, adult acne and panic attacks has organically grown into a genuine passion for wellbeing and helping others.

While Pilates, Breathwork, and Meditation are powerful individually, integrating them offers a unique experience that leaves you feeling aligned, grounded, and balanced. Sometimes, just one class can help shift and release unwanted energy.

I believe everyone needs a space to slow down and find stillness, including myself. I’m not your typical calm, centered, spiritual instructor—my life often feels like a blend of calm and chaos. I’m constantly on the go and struggle with resting, which is why breathwork has become such a profound part of my life.

A bit about me:

~ I work full-time in Finance while nurturing my passion project on the side.
~ I’m addicted to matcha.
~ I’m not a perfect instructor—I sometimes jumble my words, have tight hip flexors, and my banter might include a fair share of Dad jokes.

What I may lack in banter and flexibility, I make up for with love and dedication. Each class is crafted with care, incorporating essential oils, incense, music, movement, breathwork, and meditation to create a meaningful experience.

Having navigated years of adult acne, anxiety, panic attacks, and grief, I’ve found that movement, breathwork, gratitude, and mindfulness have truly transformed my life.

My mission is to positively impact yours, helping you slow down, be present, and reconnect your mind, body, and breath 🫁.

I have big dreams for About The Body and hope to cross paths with you soon.

Follow @aboutthebodyco for updates on classes and upcoming events!

One of the best quotes I have ever read was “Make a list of things that make you happy. Make a list of things you do everyday. Compare the lists and adjust accordingly”

Make two lists this weekend and see where you can adjust to do more of what makes you happy.

A reminder it’s okay to say no to things that don’t align, it’s okay to shift and change your lists as you grow, it’s okay to be the boring friend.

You’ll find me drinking matcha, doing Pilates / breathwork and working on my passion projects all weekend and that’s what makes me happy.

So, will you make the lists this weekend? 🩶
