POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Can I really do this? I asked myself that on Driveline in August, a month before I flew to Tennessee for a car I’d never sat in.

Justin Baczek (@driveline.show) had me on to explain the trip: two old American cars bought in secret, three friends, Route 66 from St. Louis to Santa Monica. This is a piece of that hour, in my own words, before any of it was real.

It’s real now. I’m driving mine to St. Louis today. The covers come off tomorrow.

The whole episode is on YouTube and wherever you get podcasts: Driveline, S2 Ep14. The Route 66 shield is Ben Geier’s photograph. Send this to the friend who still thinks you’re joking.

Do you have to dress like it’s 1952? No, but this IS a themed event so you do have to dress up, at least a little.

And yes, vintage looks DO get props!

Can’t drive? No worries… your donations go a long way. Since 2021, Los Angeles has raised over $55,000. Think we can make it to $70,000 this year?

Seriously. This drive fully embodies how beautiful SoCal driving truly is.

And don’t worry… we have contingencies for old cars that can’t go too far!

@distinguishedriderslosangeles are my literal heroes. Each year they swoop in, looking dapper as ever, and make sure our drivers stay together.

If you ride on 2 wheels you can support them in May! Until then… it’s drive time 🏁

You may think it’s silly, but I’ve witnessed so much connection, intimacy, support and love between men while checking out cars in parking lots.

Never underestimate the power of sharing space and hobbies.

We’re at 50% capacity for The Distinguished @gentlemansdrive with exactly 1 month to go 😱

If you’ve been on the fence about registering, let this be your little nudge to polish those wheels, break out the driving gloves and join us on September 27th!

I’m personally trying to hit a goal of $2,000 so even if you can’t drive but you are in a position to support the cause, help me reach my goal!

My bio has it all and if you have questions, my DMs are open!

See you on the 27th 🏁💃🏽🚘

This year we’re welcoming cars from 1986 and earlier. Registration is now open for Los Angeles and worldwide.

So… do we think we can raise $20k this year LA?!

Honored to play Grand Marshall for @gentlemansdrive Los Angeles the second year in a row. Great group of cars, dogs and people! Thanks to @babesinclassics & @movember for having me again. A lot of money was raised for a very good cause and Yellowcar and I had a blast! 🙏❤️🏁

Special thanks to the riders from @distinguishedriderslosangeles for keeping us safe and blocking off traffic at every turn. Amazing job. Everyone should experience driving with a motorcycle escort once in their lives… or twice 😉❤️🙏
