Vietnamese Pastries and Espresso Martinis at Doux Chaton.

Family run @douxchatonviet and accompanying @catnipcoffeehouse are on Deansgate, offering traditional Vietnamese food alongside pastries and coffee in a laidback and super friendly space.

You really need to visit hungry as these portions are MASSIVE!

We enjoyed :

Veggie spring rolls … lovely and crispy with a fresh, fragrant filling.

Mama Hong’s salt & pepper chicken wings, which were so good I took the leftovers home. I’d go as far as saying they are the best wings I’ve eaten in Manchester.

Pho Xao… a stir fried pho option so a nice alternative if you don’t want a broth style dish.

Pho Bo… 24 hour beef bone broth with beef and noodles. The broth was super fragrant and flavourful. We ordered a little bowl and it was still too big to finish. A real bowl of comfort.

We didn’t have room for dessert but the cakes and pastries looked seriously good. Have a look at @justfayesstuff for a sneak peak at the sweet treats!

They also serve a lovely selection of Vietnamese traditional drinks but I had to try the espresso martini. It was gorgeous and did not disappoint.

JOYFUL Vision Boards & Brews! ✂️🌼 Late to the content but still high from the vibes!
Last week. My kitchen table. Magazines. Scissors. Glue sticks. Coffee (when I remembered). And four women who went in with trust, and surprised themselves!

No posh venue. No slides. No pressure.

Just space to think and permission to be hopeful about what comes ahead 🌈

Four very different boards because four very different, brilliant people 🫶🏼

One word kept coming up in the feedback afterwards: JOYFUL! I’ll take that 🌼

Spring > January for this kind of work by the way. Fewer “new year new me” vibes, more “oh wait, what do I actually want?”

The reason this community exists is women.

This weekend we gathered 220 people together for our International Women’s Day event.

But the real story of Yoga Social Club has always been the women behind it.

The leaders holding space every week.
The women showing up to class and supporting each other.
The women who believed in the idea when it first began.

That is why International Women’s Day will always be one of the most meaningful events we host.

It is not just a celebration.

It is a thank you.

To every woman I met this weekend, whether it was our first time meeting or you have been part of this community for years, I am so grateful for you.

Please take time today to celebrate yourselves too.
Look at everything you have carried, built and navigated this year already.

And if you can, take a moment to rest as well.

You deserve both.
