These past few months have been kids crazy! I have been out of the gym for 3-4months now due to mono :(. Today was my first full day back in the gym and it felt great!

I did light weight HIIT!

Warmup:
•Cycle for 30mins

Workout:
• @applefitnessplus HIIT workout
•20mins of…:
•Squats with high knee crunches
•Squat Jacks with dumbbell raises
•Ski jumps
•Lunges with overhead press
•Side lunge with chest press push

4 times for each move 2 body weight and 2 with dumbbells weight! I used 10lbs!

Staying on track…

Working a full time 9-5 job everyday of the week is hard to still workout on a regular schedule. Even on vacation all I want to do is rest and relax. I miss @soulcycle so much and hope to be getting in a better routine soon.
*stay motivated
*rest days are okay
*listen to your body
*be boundless

Boundless: You Are Your Only Limit! This is a collection near and dear to me since I was a college athlete who struggled with mental health and had to leave the sport I loved to focus on my wellbeing. Boundless is a mindset I wish someone portrayed to me as a college athlete! I hope it bring you a little comfort and hope. Go chop now! Link in bio 🥺❤️🌈🥰

•Missing the Gym•

•the post grad lifestyle is hard to manage. You go from being a full time student and for some of us athletes to working in a little cubical at your 9-5 job feeling so inactive. I miss the gym and the balance! Waking up at 6am to get to work at 7:50am so I’m not “late” and asking to work from home is a no no. Where the balance for the gym?

•I’m trying to figure this out myself but what I can say is this•
*Try to workout after work in some form of cardio for me this is @soulcycle
*Practice mental health practices on your lunch break! I sit in my car and listen to music :)
*Make time for you, I know work can feel consuming and all you do but you are so much more than your job and title!
*Any exercise is good exercise even if it’s taking the stairs instead of the elevator, you can do this!
*Lastly just be you and set new routines and goals as you transition to post grad work life

•My DMs are always open•

YOU ARE EMPOWERED AND BEAUTIFUL 🤍
