A couple of weeks ago I had the privilege to go with my children to DC to support the @justice.run. It was powerful. This Saturday I will once again line up in Fort Worth to give my full support to this amazing cause. I’m not even a runner but what the LORD is doing through Pastor @landonaschott & @heatherschott is truly remarkable. One of the things that surprises me is the lack of other Pastors coming together and helping to raise awareness for those caught in the wicked web of human trafficking. If you’re anywhere close to the DFW area, stop making excuses and pick a side. Passiveness is no longer an option. I’m driving from Nashville to be there and if you’re a local leader, dust your shoes off and show up to be a part of something bigger than your cute Sunday sermon. I choose to stand with those who are making a difference. Ready, Set, GO…

RACE TRAINING ADVICE FROM A MASSIVE MISTAKE I MADE!

👉🏼Don’t overdo your electrolytes!! The season + weather has shifted, so your electrolytes need to too! 🍂

If you overdo your electrolytes you will experience flu like symptoms that will come in quick like I did and you will not be able to finish strong. Read below to see if you felt any of these symptoms, and if you have… lower your electrolytes! Your electrolytes intake should be based upon your weight, distance and how much you perspire! The cooler it is, the less you’ll sweat so therefore you need to lower the electrolytes!

You can flush too many electrolytes in your system with water.

Symptoms of taking too many electrolytes
• 1. Stomach and digestive symptoms
• Nausea or an upset stomach
• Abdominal cramping
• Diarrhea, particularly with excess magnesium
• Vomiting, especially with highly concentrated electrolyte drinks or salt tablets
2. Thirst and dehydration-like symptoms
• Unusually intense thirst
• Dry mouth
• Weakness or fatigue
• Headache
Excess sodium can contribute to these symptoms, especially if you’re not replacing enough water.
3. Muscle or heart symptoms
• Muscle weakness or unusual heaviness
• Tingling or numbness
• Palpitations or an irregular heartbeat
Excess potassium or magnesium can be particularly dangerous in large amounts, especially if kidney function is impaired.
4. Serious neurological symptoms
• Confusion or unusual behavior
• Severe or worsening headache
• Drowsiness, difficulty walking, or seizures
These are emergency warning signs. They can occur with dangerous sodium
disturbances, including exercise-associated hyponatremia (low hlood sodium).
