It is with very heavy hearts that we share the passing of our baby boy Caden.

Caden was diagnosed with a very rare condition called LUTO early on, but we were given lots of hope as we began working with specialized teams of doctors. The fetal units at multiple children’s hospitals helped us plan the necessary treatments and proper care for Caden’s expected arrival in August to give him the best quality of life possible.

But unfortunately his case progressed more than anticipated, and on March 11, our baby boy was delivered safely and directly into heaven. Following Caden’s passing, we had a beautiful funeral with family and close friends to honor our baby as we laid him to rest.

We know nothing could’ve prepared us for any of this. And especially not the way the world stops when you have to bury your own child. But if we can make even one person feel less alone by sharing Caden’s story, then we will continue to do so over and over again. No one deserves this type of pain. So if you or someone you know has lost a child, we see you and we are so so sorry.

Despite everything, we feel beyond lucky that we were chosen to be Caden’s parents, and that we got to experience the amount of joy and love this tiny human brought us and will always be remembered by.
