When “man’s best friend” doesn’t even begin to cover it 🤍🐾

These photos mean more to me than I could ever put into words. My oldest friend, who was there with me the day I got Bentley 12 years ago, took these photos for us — and knowing she was there at the very beginning and is now able to capture these moments for me makes them even more special. 🤍 @livandbloom @livandbloomphotography

Bentley has been by my side for 12 years. Twelve years of loving him, growing with him, making memories with him, and having him there through so many different chapters of my life. He is so much more than a dog to me. He is a piece of my heart, my family, my comfort, and one of the greatest loves of my life.

We recently made the decision to stop his chemotherapy because it wasn’t working, and it was taking more from him than it was giving. Right now, our only focus is keeping him comfortable, happy, loved, and with us for as long as his body allows.

I know the pain of losing him is going to be unlike anything I’ve ever felt. But I also know that pain will only be so big because the love we’ve shared for the last 12 years has been even bigger.

So for now, I’m trying not to count the days. I’m just soaking in every moment, every cuddle, every look, every little piece of him that I possibly can. And I will treasure these photos for the rest of my life. 🤍

I love you more than you’ll ever know, Bentley. Twelve years could never be enough.

Subiefest was so much fun. Here is part one of all the fun we were having. It was an evening show this year. Also it was fun seeing all my friends again and meeting new people at the show.
