Wanna know a secret? When I was younger I claimed I was a guys girl…

I loved sports, had lots of plutonic guy friends. I moved a lot growing up with my single mama and brother to make ends meet. So new schools as a girl 4x is not easy.

I was called a blonde bimbo in 4th grade my first wk. Never had touched a boy. All the cliche dumb blonde jokes but I was in the honors programs (prob trying to disprove them). I met a lot of girls that were simply straight up mean girls.

My mom said to me early… you will be blessed if you have a couple amazing girlfriends in your life.

So I learned earlier to befriend everyone, be kind because it sucked being on the receiving end. I was guarded. I have some great friends still from junior high but most of my real sistas also came in College (sororities aren’t all bad), then grad school, then my early professional life and when we moved out here to Cali. I try to remind my girls this when they struggle.

But guess what… when I started my businesses I realized I have ALwAYS been a girls girl. In fact my passion became helping other women.

These leadership retreats and events where I get to be surrounded by like minded baddies quite literally gives me life and make this audio valid 1000%.

The community is the least expected part I got from my business but one I will forever be grateful for.

And apparently it’s plain and simple GREAT 4 our health!

There is always room at my table friends. Just pull up a seat.

True story. I paid $50 to get a consultant link for the sole purpose of saving on the internal supplements that resolved my joint pain.✨

I wasn’t looking for a new circle when I found Olive Tree People. I already had amazing friends, people I love deeply and do life with. But sometimes life surprises you with connections you never knew you needed. And if I’m being honest, I had a gut instinct I was stepping into something that would change my life.

What started as skincare became encouragement, growth, confidence, laughter, and a community of women who challenge me to step outside my comfort zone and become a better version of myself. An unexpected blessing I’ll always be grateful for.

And it only took me 40 years to find it.✨💕

Two summers ago, I shared a link for a serum that was changing my skin… never expecting it would also change so much more. 🤍

To be completely honest, I wasn’t looking for a community here.. What started as simply being obsessed with their vitamin c serum turned into finding a community of women who have encouraged me, prayed for me, laughed with me until my stomach hurt, and loved me like we’ve known each other forever. Last weekend in Nashville was our second annual leadership retreat, and I still can’t believe I’ve been able to be a part of them both.

I keep thinking about how differently my life would look if I had talked myself out of taking that leap two summers ago. I never could’ve planned this on my own but God’s plans always end up far better than ours, don’t they? I am so very grateful for this business, this community, and the women who make it feel like home. 🫶🏼

And if you’ve every wondered if there could be room for you here too… there is. Always. It’s an open door with open arms from women who embrace you as you are and love, encourage and support you! That’s what I found here and I’ll never stop being so dang thankful for it.

Still catching up from the most fulfilling weekend in Nashville for our Olive Tree People leadership retreat 🤍

As a mom, it’s easy to pour so much into everyone around us that it’s easy to forget we matter too. This weekend filled my cup in the best way… friendship from all over the country, growth, laughter, inspiration, and time to remind myself that it’s amazing to have something that’s yours too. ✨ I miss everyone already!

There’s something so special about being in a room full of women who genuinely want to see each other win. 💛
This leadership retreat in Nashville was filled with so much love, support, laughter, inspiration, and connection. From late-night conversations to big dreams being spoken out loud, this community is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.
What I love most is that there’s no competition here — just women linking arms, cheering each other on, growing together, and making space for more people at the table.
Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. ✨
