Yesterday I graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine with a PhD in Cancer Biology & Molecular Medicine! During my PhD, my research focused on glioblastoma, the most common and deadliest form of brain cancer. I couldn’t have done it without my incredible support system who showed up for my defense in person & online! I dedicated my written dissertation to my loved ones that I have lost to cancer, all of whom are pictured in the last two slides 🩵 It is clear that the current cancer therapies are not curing all patients, and it is abundantly clear that more research is needed for current and future patients. I am both proud and humbled to be a part of these efforts in the fight against cancer.
