Two films. Two visions of the fantastic.

We are thrilled to announce that BEHIND THE DOOR, directed by Justus van den Elsen, and WHITCH, directed by Hoku Uchiyama, have both been officially selected for the 54th Curtas Festival do Imaxinario in Galicia, Spain.
@curtasfestivaldoimaxinario

Founded in 1973, Curtas is the oldest film festival in Galicia and one of Spain’s landmark events dedicated to fantasy, horror and science fiction. The festival is a Goya Awards qualifier and a competitive member of the Méliès International Festivals Federation, presenting the Méliès d’Argent for Best European Fantastic Short Film.

From the dark fairytale of BEHIND THE DOOR to the wicked horror of WHITCH, we couldn’t be happier to see these two films joining the same prestigious celebration of fantastic cinema.

We’re delighted to see three films represented by Tre Colori Films heading to Sicily, three very different approaches to fantastic storytelling, united by strong visual identities and a taste for the unexpected.

🌬️ NO WIND TO HOLD
Directed by Mickael Abbate & Chris Conti
A coming-of-age story at the edge of the fantastic, inspired by the atmosphere and visual language of Korean cinema and carried by two emerging French actresses, Lou Amara & Leeloo Eyme. @leeloo_eyme @lou.amara
@whats_up_mika @chrisconti.official

🚪 BEHIND THE DOOR
Directed by Justus Van den Elsen
A beautifully crafted dark fairy tale where childhood wonder, memory and the macabre intertwine. Tender, mysterious and quietly haunting. @justusvdelsen @achterdedeur.film

🔥 1..2…3
Directed by Quentin Feynie & Caroline Thomas
A wildly entertaining supernatural comedy, playful, mischievous and bursting with energy, where the fantastic becomes a playground for the unexpected. @quentin_feynie @caroline_thomas_pro @123_court_metrage
@quentin_feynie_pro_

Different tones. Different countries. Different filmmakers. The same ambition: creating genre cinema with a distinctive voice.

We’re proud to accompany these films on their festival journeys and grateful to the Sicily On Screen programming team for bringing all three to Catania. @sicilyonscreen
