what a wild and wonderful time we had.

a celebration of the sea and people who love the sea connecting art and music and science and food and wine all to benefit the beloved Heal the Bay Aquarium.
and ye all showed up 🦈🦈🦈

a massive thank you to everyone who contributed, collected a piece, came to party or spread the good word. would not have been the same with out you 🙏🏼

we raised a good bit for the aquarium, but i have two pieces available to top off the fundraising vibes. a lovable jaguar shark and an underwater tablescape of over abundant urchins and dearly missed sunflower starfish.

A huge honor showing my work alongside such an incredible group of artists for “Beyond the Breakers,” a group show supporting @healthebayaquarium at @dorado.806

The work reflected each artist’s relationship and engagement with the sea exploring themes of identity, culture, complexity, and a sense of shared responsibility.

Huge thank you to my friends and loved ones for making the opening reception such a magical event.

Special thank you to @hello.dero and @mxfarina ❤️❤️

Beyond the Breakers: What a magical, whimsical, rich, diverse, delicious show @hello.dero and @mxfarina created to benefit @healthebayaquarium!

It’s a dynamic group exhibition stirring together installation, sculpture, painting, printmaking/mixed media, fiber, music, video projection, and food, as well as an open hearted, generous community of people using their creativity to support causes they believe in.

Thank you so much to everyone who’s a part of this and came out. The show is up through this Sunday the 30th (deinstallation day). Come visit if you can!

Special shout out and thanks to @emsarts_los_angeles for capturing beautiful video footage of the evening, which you can watch on his Youtube channel @emsarts ! 📹📸

A few small masterpieces from our still life sessions. Food as muse, food as sustenance. We painted it, we ate it, we talked and laughed and drifted into that strange timeless zone art can take you to. Old friends, new friends…community built in real time, around a table, around a canvas.

Huge thanks to all who came out and added to the circle, what we shared was nourishing.

This project was made possible in part with 150th Anniversary Microgrant support from the City of Santa Monica Cultural Affairs.
