POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

june has always felt like a lesson in holding two truths at once.

it’s the month i was born.
and the month my mother left this earth.

for a long time, that felt impossible to carry. now, it feels like a quiet reminder that life will always ask us to hold both grief and joy in the same hands.

so i celebrate.

the milestones. the ordinary days. the laughter that catches me off guard. the people who make life feel lighter.

because if june has taught me anything, it’s that tomorrow isn’t promised, so today deserves to be lived.

and this june, i lived.

i stepped into 30. i celebrated with people i love. i reconnected with myself. i laughed more. i explored more. i rested when i needed to. i made memories i’ll carry with me forever.

so thank you, june. for every reminder.

july, show me how good it can get. 🤍

I pray that whoever needs to see this, God delivers it to them. To celebrate Black History Month, I want to take a moment to honor some incredible Black men who I’m blessed to call friends and family. Their support, wisdom, and unwavering belief in me have shaped my journey in ways I can’t even put into words. This is my way of giving them their flowers while they can still smell them. 💐

@ijaysanchez Ilbert – I’ve known you for 15 years, and whew, the seeds you’ve sown into me still bear fruit. I’m so incredibly grateful to call you my friend. Thank you for encouraging me, no matter how outrageous my ideas may have been. You never once discouraged me. I pray that everything you’ve poured into me gets poured back into you twenty times over. Your unwavering belief in me has shaped so much of my journey, and I’ll never take that for granted.

@cb3 Charles – My brothaaaaaaaaaaaa! I’m beyond grateful for your friendship. For every time you just sat there and let me cry. For every door you’ve opened for me. For every single time you watched my videos and gave me feedback. For simply letting me be myself. There’s no way I can ever repay you—but just know, with every fiber in my being, you are going to win an Oscar and a Grammy! (And if you give me a verse on a track, I’ll make sure it happens even faster!)

@____juelz____ Jules – In 2022, you saw me showing up, being consistent—even when I had no clue what I was doing. You saw the best parts of me before I even saw them myself. You gave me my very first opportunity as a creator, and for that, I’ll always be grateful. I hope that one day, every single home in the United States of America owns your game—because it deserves to be everywhere. Thank you soooo much for believing in me! #contentcreator #blackhistory #blackhistorymonth #creatorjourney

okay, but planning for the new year in december actually makes so much more sense?! ✨

thank you to my gworl @juubolaji for hosting! usually vision boards feel limiting to me with just magazines - you end up settling for whatever images you can find and relying too heavily on text. but my friend took it to the next level by letting us print photos as stickers in real time, and it completely transformed the experience!

this board now has a special home on my creative space door, serving as a daily reminder of all the possibilities ahead in the new year.

do you usually make a vision board for upcoming years?
