When I started 31st State, I didn’t sit out to build a skincare brand. I sent out to answer one question: how do you help guys grow into good men? The gap was obvious. Every brand talked to women. No one was talking to guys – or the people trying to help them navigate this stage. That’s where 31st State began. I watched my son’s feel just as insecure about their appearance as my daughter did. A new self-consciousness, social media, adding one more layer – and no one speaking to that moment in a guy‘s life in their language. I wanted to. 10 steps isn’t dedication – it’s just more stuff. A routine only works if you’ll actually do it. So we built exactly what he needed – simple, great smelling, something he’ll actually stick with. I wasn’t just building for the guy who needed us on day one. I was building for the guy he’d grow into, through every year, every stage, still figuring it all out. We grew up right alongside him. Nine years in, I feel the same: 31st State was always about something bigger than a routine. It was about what it means to grow into a good man. Becoming a good man is one of the most important roles there is because so much rides on it. Who you become shapes the kind of friend, partner, and father you’ll be. Masculinity isn’t the problem – what we do with it is. Instead of shrinking that energy, we want to channel and celebrate it. Kindness and strength were never opposites. Two things can be true at once. From his first sweat to every day shave, we’re still growing with you. Here’s to nine years 🙌🏻 and to everyone doing this work alongside us. 🧡

I’m fresh off the @richnerliveevents WE Summit and feeling inspired by all the incredible female speakers and panelists. Throughout the event, I jotted down ideas, quotes, and moments that challenged my thinking, motivated me, or shifted the way I approach my business—and life in general. Here are four ideas I’m taking with me. Swipe through to read more about each quote from the speaker behind it. 1️⃣ Mae Caime, co-founder of Diamonds & Pearls Alliance, @the_amaezingmae, @diamondsandpearlsalliance Mae walked us through three words we should stop saying: try, should, and sorry. I’m guilty of using all three, but try really stuck with me. It seems harmless, but she’s right. It leaves the door open for not following through. Instead of saying “I’ll try,” Mae encouraged us to say, “I will” or “I am.” I actually used this with my teen last night when she said she’d try to do something this school year. I made her rephrase it as, “I will.” Thanks, Mae! 2️⃣ Carla Iliescu, founder of Potential, @carlai_potential During her power session on Unreasonable Hospitality, Carla shared: “Service is what we do. Hospitality is how you make that person feel.” She also shared a story from Guidara’s book Unreasonable Hospitality. When diners at Eleven Madison Park mentioned they were craving New York street hot dogs, the team secretly sent someone out to buy them from a street vendor and surprised the guests by serving them at the end of the meal. It wasn’t about the hot dogs—it was about creating an unforgettable experience. My takeaway: You don’t have to work in hospitality to practice hospitality. Every business provides a service. The difference is how intentionally you make people feel. It’s those thoughtful, memorable moments that turn customers into loyal clients. 3️⃣ Natasha Zaytseva, founder and CEO of CEO Lab, @whatwould_natasha_do Natasha spoke about “The Productivity Paradox,” and this line has stayed with me: You can say what you do—or what you plan to do—but your calendar tells the real story. The busiest people aren’t necessarily the most successful. The most successful people protect time to think, make decisions, delegate, and eliminate. As I’m p

Today I am expressing my gratitude and appreciation to @richnerliveevents for inviting me to speak and for providing an incredible experience at their annual Women’s Executive WE Summit. It was uplifting to say the least. As a resident of Manhattan today finding the way to feel uplifted is a vital thing. Every aspect of the event worked seamlessly from the location Crescent Beach Club to networking on the beach. Which was AMAZING! I found myself engaged by each speaker and listening intently and raising my hand 🖐️ As a speaker I found the audience warm, welcoming, and attentive, and I really felt the summit’s concept of Owning Your Power. It was an honor to provide value to this group of wonder women. Thank you to @amato_amy , @jvaustin and the Richner team for your dedication and commitment to producing such an extraordinary event. Thank you for the opportunity to speak, share my story and have an incredible day. Yes I was uplifted.

Monday night was exactly why Industry Night exists. A room full of beauty and wellness pros, a panel that didn’t hold back, and conversations that actually gave you something to take with you, especially around how AI is already shaping the way clients find and choose products and professionals, and what that means for your business. It wasn’t surface-level. It was candid, insightful, and a lot of fun — so many laughs and so much engagement. And the setting at @victoriaelizabethofficial made it all even better. Such a beautiful space to bring this group together. Thank you again to our panelists for showing up the way you did, and to our sponsors who make these nights possible. @victoriaelizabethofficial @cotemas_wines @donnaarigo_isdin_newyork @longislandherald If you were in the room, you felt it. If you weren’t…you’ll want to be at the next one. More pics to come! 📷: @solqa.media
