Ya’ll three cheers for Day 7! 🥳

The most emotional and beautiful out of every filming day we’ve ever had 👌

Tears were shed, (scripted) arguments were had, laughs were made and photo shoots for the first poster were taken.

Couldn’t ask for a more better group of people to work with together. Thanks to everyone who made this day the absolute best!

Thanks once again to our amazing PA’s — @martini1843 and @marc_cadou for all the amazing photos taken! (Also, shoutout to Marc, we’ve missed you. Welcome back 🤗)

We’re ready for our final day 🫢

Appreciation post for this cast, who came together to WIN BEST ONE ACT in the Gene Frankel Theatre Festival this summer in NYC! Huge shoutout to writer/director and good friend @mike.backes78 for an incredible written theatre debut, I’m so proud to have been a part of it!

Worth mentioning @malenasadaka winning Best Actress, and @chrisjaymes stepping in with only three or four rehearsals before opening.

Love this cast! Love this play! Thank you to @thegenefrankeltheatre for hosting this festival.

Nothing tests your heart quite like leaving your sweet little cat overnight at the vet after major surgery. 💔

The best distraction I could’ve asked for that night was stepping behind the lens to shoot The Last Stop, a play written/directed by Mike Backes and starring my wonderful friend and upstairs neighbor Chris Jaymes and an incredible cast Malena Sadaka,
Jim K. Collins, Nick Lerangis, Chris Oram. Huge congratulations to the whole team on taking home Best Play of the Gene Frankel Theatre Festival ! 👏 #thelaststop #nycphotographers #theater #genefrankeltheatre #colleensturtevantphotography

‘The Last Stop’ by Mike Backes won best One Act play at the Gene Frankel Theatre festival this summer.

I don’t care much for awards, but I care so much for people. Thank you @mike.backes78 for writing real people; the lost, the broken, and the ones yearning for more.

To this cast and crew, thank you for teaching me what having brothers is like, LOL. I have never once felt so silly and ridiculous in a process, yet so safe and protected at the same time. Thank you for your trust, your play, and your talent. I love you, crazy people.

And to Stevie, the strongest girl I have ever played. Thank you for reminding me of the God in people. This is only the beginning for us.

Xoxo,
Malena
