For Gail and David, who said I do at the Biltmore this weekend.

The venue was always going to be the star. A hundred years old this year, and still the most romantic address in Coral Gables. So the invitation opens like a pair of doors, revealing the two places their ceremony would unfold, one for each moment of the day.

🌺 Around it, the flowers they love most. Hibiscus and calla lilies, their two favourites, found their way onto every piece, with lots of florals spilling in between. And Maggie, their pup, waiting patiently on the RSVP for everyone’s reply.

And of the last slide, a first glimpse of the wedding weekend. More of that story soon 🏹

Mazel tov, Gail and David. It was a joy to paint your Miami. ♥️🏹🌺

Julia & Andrew’s wedding had this quiet elegance about it that I loved.

I think somewhere along the way, social media has made weddings feel like they need to be so much. So many details, so many photos, so many things that need to look a certain way. And sometimes, in the middle of planning it all, it’s easy to put pressure on ourselves to create the “perfect” day. And we forget the most important part: you're marrying your best friend.

But what I kept noticing throughout Julia & Andrew’s wedding was how present they were in it. They were genuinely just so happy to be marrying one another.

Their day was elegant. The details were simple and intentional, but the focus always seemed to come back to the two of them, the people they love dearly, and God.

It was such a beautiful reminder that a wedding doesn’t have to look or feel any one particular way to be beautiful. At the heart of it all, you’re marrying your best friend, and everything else gets to be a reflection of you.
