POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

October 6, 2018.

8 years ago today, I stepped in front of a microphone and started recording.

I had no idea where it would take me. I didn’t know how many songs I would write, how many projects I would create, how many stages I would stand on, or how much of myself I would leave behind in the music.

I just knew I had something to say.

And for 8 years, I said it.

Through love, heartbreak, confidence, insecurity, growth, loss, happiness and everything in between—I recorded it.

Looking back now, I realize I have something special: a soundtrack to my own evolution. I can literally listen back and hear myself becoming the man I am today.

And as I close this chapter, I don’t feel sad.

I feel proud.

Proud that I tried.
Proud that I created.
Proud that I stayed true to myself.
Proud of everything I managed to accomplish along the way.

Eight years ago, I picked up the microphone because I had something to prove.

Today, I can put it down knowing that I did.

8 years of recording.
A lifetime of memories.
Forever grateful for the journey.

Long Live The Cowman. ☀️

If perfect is what you are seeking,
you will pass me,
because you didn’t see me.
It’s not because I am not there,
but because I am not
It.

👩🏻‍🦳Greying hair, don’t care.

🎁Happy birthday to me (well, really yesterday)! Welp, this is my last trip around the sun ☀️ before 40.

🍽 Per usual, I had no plans and played it by ear. I’d been eyeing a few restaurants on IG and ultimately settled on checking out @stellas_caribbean. Good choice. ✅

🥃 No, both of those drinks aren’t mine (but I did get to taste @notst3v3n’s drink and order the same thing.)

🍗 The curry crab and tostones was so delicious I could have eaten 10 plates of ‘em! I’m drinking a rum punch here (you can see the peppercorns floating) and I’m holding an Old Gangalee (a spin-off of a Dark ‘N Stormy.) Stefan ordered the veggie roti, which featured some surprise broccoli, and I ordered the jerk pork (and somehow got some of the sauce in my eye!) with dumplin and green fig. So filling that I had no room for dessert! 🤣

👕 Shoutout to @jwesleycollection, who created the shirt I’m wearing. IYKYK and if you don’t know what it means, I’m not telling you!
