We love a little behind-the-scenes sneak peek - especially when it involves plenty of laughter!

Our staff got an exclusive preview of the Studio Tour production of The Pirates of Penzance, and it’s every bit as joyful and fun as you’d hope. We can’t wait to see it bring opera to hundreds of students this year!

No post-holiday blues here! We’re kicking off 2026 the best way we know how - with live opera and lots of laughter.

Today marks the first Studio Tour performance of the year as The Pirates of Penzance sails into Dodgen Middle School, part of @cobbschools! Here’s to starting the season by sharing music, storytelling, and a little operatic mischief with students.

“With strength and with courage, and hearts full of love…”

This has been a hard show to say goodbye to. I’ve tried to make this post about a dozen times and each time I end up scrolling through countless photos and videos, laughing and sometimes shedding a tear or two as I look back on this wild, wonderful journey.

To my castmates @mintydkalu @sarahmchansoprano @leviadkinsmusic @thejessicawax : thank you for your hard work, your determination, your humor and grace. I feel so much pride looking back on what we’ve been able to accomplish; thank you for sharing the stage with me at almost 100 different schools/venues! And of course, a very special thanks to tour manager @juliacwhitten @mswhittenmakes —I truly can’t imagine this tour without you.

A massive thank you to our director @ricaponte ,for bringing this show to life, and to our team at @theatlantaopera , Amy Williams @musiclover85 and Jessica Kiger @jessica_kiger for their incredible support. Thank you as well to @ilyaram and the team at @chattsymphony for the opportunity to perform this show with an orchestra—that was such a treat for us and an experience I won’t soon forget.

Much love to you all.🤍 And on to the next!!

Humble beginnings, bittersweet endings.

I want to say a huge thank you to @theatlantaopera @musiclover85 @jessica_kiger and the entire company for giving me the opportunity to be part of The Magic Flute. This journey has pushed me to grow, explore, and uncover new strengths as an artist—and most importantly, it reminded me just how much I love doing this.

To my fellow cast members— @leviadkinsmusic @sarahmchansoprano @alexandra.sopranaa @thejessicawax — it’s been AWESOME sharing the stage with you since January 2, 2025. And to our incredible Tour Manager, @mswhittenmakes, thank you SO MUCH for keeping us grounded, supported, and always on point.

Witnessing the passion and effort not just on stage, but also behind the curtain, all in service of bringing laughter and joy—especially to young audiences—was truly humbling.

This chapter will always stay with me. Bigger dreams ahead. Thank you.

We “blew” away the audiences today at the beautiful Barrow County Innovation Theater. The wind was our 6th cast member and it did NOT disappoint!
