6.17.21 🙏🏾🤞🏾 7 Years

This wasn’t supposed to be my next post. Over the past year I wanted to respect everybody by not speaking on the positive experiences I had over the past year.

Paid off credit card debt. ✔️
Paid off my car. ✔️
Reached the job at Nike I chased ✔️
Bought my first house ✔️

I was waiting for the perfect post to reveal itself but instead on the 7 year anniversary of my sister’s death I have to pay homage to my mother that passed. God blessed me with 2 moms, not everybody has a positive experience with step-parenting. She taught me what unconditional love is and I will forever be grateful for the love that she gave me. I could sit here and tell you all the things I wish I could of done, but I’ll summarize—“The perfect opportunity doesn’t exist.” Do today what you said you would tomorrow. My biggest regret of my sister passing was thinking she was alone, for now I don’t have to worry about that. Love you mom 😘

6.17.20 🙏🏾🤞🏾6 years.
As we hit the 6 year mark, I still miss you like it was yesterday. This year I chose this picture because I wanted to take the time to highlight our sister. I am so proud of her. She is saying and doing everything that I would hope for. Wise enough to listen with both ears before she speaks, brave enough to change directions when life gives you a new lane, and strong enough to say no to things that don’t align with her morals. She is a better version of me at every age of her life and Jaz I think you would be proud of her too. I got her back just as much as I had yours. 😘 Until we meet again.
