Kids should be strong.

They should run, jump, climb, lift, sprint, play and learn how to use their bodies.

This isn’t about making little kids train like adults.

It’s about building strength, coordination, confidence and athleticism while they’re young.

Let kids move.

When a BBQ man marries a bread lady, and meat prep day and dough day are the same….you turn your parent’s beer fridge into a sourdough fridge.

Pork butt for the church men’s group shindig is looking delicious 🤤

PRs come and go, but my stank lifting face, that’s forever 😂

Grateful to relive these moments at AO Finals/UMWF Worlds captured by the GOAT @karaemedia and also for my favorite weightlifting people that constantly inspire me 🥰

Looking forward to 2026 🙌🏼

What a weekend and Finals! We had makes, misses, wins, losses, firsts, and lasts. But we had a hell of a lot of fun. South Ga Barbell 2026 uploading now.

Snatch: 47kg❎ → 47kg✅ → 50kg/110lb ✅
Clean & Jerk: 58kg✅ → 61kg✅ → 64kg/141lb ✅

5/6 lifts AND a lifetime C&J PR- but more than that, I walked away proud of the work you don’t see. The long training weeks, failed reps, heavy days… this is the part that makes it all worth it.

So yeah… this one deserved the feed. 😌🔥

Grateful for the people who showed up for me, and major love to @coach_matt_21 for coaching me into my strongest meet yet.

Taking a few weeks off, then back to business. 🙃💪🏼 ✌🏼

All 6 of my lifts from Friday’s @usa_weightlifting #umwf day. My third snatch would count in CrossFit and my third clean was still rising and hit my neck which threw me off. I have never put 70kg overhead before but HAVE cleaned 100kg before. I think I was just bamboozled and maybe let out all my energy after my second C&J got overturned from a no lift to a good lift. Either way, records for @gaweightlifting were set.

In all honesty, the day wasn’t made by these records. It was made by my beautiful and strong life partner in @deb_woods1 being my yard stick, love and the motivation for everything. The #tougholdbird was around and cheering loud as was @onebighashtag (who was cheering for one of her own.

A massive thank you to @coach_matt_21 for getting me here, working remotely on my janky AF overhead mobility and being a solid coach, @jwl.moose for having a soft beard and @emma__meads dad, Jeremy, for keeping count, smacking me about when I wanted to lift weight and also cheering me on behind the scenes.

Also got to see @hwpotraining lift coach @aimeeanayaeverett before and during our respective sessions and seeing a coach crush it is inspiring in and of itself!

I’m going to step away for the year to save up for travelling down to @dottymcm at the end of the year. Been a great ride and hopefully come back stronger!

The gym @southgeorgiabarbell is now ready for a Sunday 25.3 that will have @jwl.moose ready to throw down with the single hottest entity ever (and certainly in my life!), @deb_woods1 for the bragging rights to who can splat on the ground at the end better.
