My favorite thing about creating this platform has been community building. Watching other authors do what they do best has been so inspiring!
And since there are over 3,000 of you following me on this journey (thank you! 🙏), I feel like I’d be gatekeeping if I didn’t share some of my favorite authors on this app.
They are working on some exciting things!
Give them a follow & send them some love. 💕

After only a month, I’ve connected with so many amazing creators. Here’s five pre-famous women—go follow them now before they are too egotistical to talk to you! Jk all of these women are generous, kind, and welcoming and I am so happy I get to see them in my feed! 💜💜💜

I know you probably saw this photo yesterday, but if you didn't this is me writing the end on my 1st draft! We all know this moment deserves celebrating. (I did!) But it's only really the start of turning this story into something I can share with the world. But before I disappear into the editing cave, I wanted to let you know I'm taking the unfiltered energy in this (bad) photo into the editing cave with me! And this energy is because of you!

Since publishing my 1st book 4 years ago, I haven't really been present on social media, but deciding to come back on to social media, unapoletigically as myself, has been such a delight, and I wanted to say a huge thank you to the accounts that have made me feel like part of a community and cheered me on! So here goes:

@authorsophiekuiper @daliwildewrites @jenniferpotterauthor @pettyreadsandwrites @bellamasonbooks @georginacomerauthor @amybellamyauthor @kalianthony.author @tonyawiektheauthor @breebooks2016 @sadiebrownauthor @leetyharkwood @thelaurapearson @jynxthewriter @lindsayraewrote
@zarayoon_writes @colettecooperauthor @claremiles_author @ash.tomeroam @tonyawiektheauthor @melaniethorpebooks @ritubhathalwrites @sophiehamiltonauthor @saraloveslife4 @koporteousauthor @lucy_mitchell_author @sammygirl_writes @sara_loves_millsandboon @chicksroguesandscandals @jeannalouiseskinnerauthor

There are more, but Insta won't let me tag anymore!😭 I might do another post, let me know if you mind being tagged... But I appreciate all of you! And if you're not already, you should follow these accounts! They are the best! Off into the editing cave I go!!! 🤞 Thanks so much everyone! ❤️ Hip hip hooray for community! 🥳

Today, I learnt a new Arabic phrase:

“Avra kadabra.”

Simply put, it means ‘I create as I speak.’

As a lover of creative writing, this phrase resonates deeply with me.

After the death of my father early this year, a light went out in my heart and I struggled to write even a single word on a page for months.

Through all my emotional turmoil, these beautiful Arabic words give me comfort.

In the end, the muse will return in its own time.

For all you budding writers out there, don’t be discouraged whenever you hit a wall.

You create as you think, and as you speak.

In short, you make your own magic 🌈
