The Birth of Shein

Thank you @abrokenlightbulb for bringing awareness in the most unique and powerful way. It was an honor to be a part of this piece.

The next slide shows “The Birth of Venus” which was our reference.

This past year I had become aware of the exploitation of their workers as well as the environmental impact and had stopped purchasing. Deeply moved when I found out what the message for this piece was going to be.

“The Birth of Shein” is a protest piece in response to their latest pop-up in Cincinnati. Shein, among many other brands, is the most notorious for exploiting their workers by overworking and underpaying. They are also the number one producer of fast fashion waste. We need to find in ourselves ways to push for the betterment of humanity and fight the powerful feelings in us to be the most relevant versions of ourselves (I struggle with this too).

Next time you're looking for a slice of pizza as big as your face, @latenightslice has you covered. They sell their classic pizzas and their crazy pizza of the week (this week it's Aunt Bunny & Uncle Gus BBQ Pork Pizza) by the slice. If you wanna take a walk on the wild side, Mikey's also has some awesome specialty pies, and some ridiculous pizza based sandwiches (who needs a bun for their hot dog when you can use a slice of pepperoni pizza?). And when Mikey's says late-night slice, they mean it; they're open until 3 am on weekdays, and 4 am on weekends. 🤤🍕🌕
