1 op de 7 vrouwen krijgt te maken met borstkanker. Inmiddels is het 4 jaar geleden dat het ons overkwam. Mijn zus en ik waren er gelukkig op tijd bij en zijn succesvol behandeld. Daar zijn wij nog iedere dag ontzettend dankbaar voor. 💗

Daarom vinden wij het zo mooi en belangrijk dat ook de OranjeLeeuwinnen aandacht vragen voor borstkanker en Pink Ribbon. Met hun bereik helpen zij om bewustwording te creëren en vrouwen eraan te herinneren hoe belangrijk het is om je eigen lichaam goed te kennen. 🧡🎀

Wij willen dan ook iedere (jonge) vrouw op het hart drukken: ken je borsten en doe regelmatig zelfonderzoek. Merk je iets op wat anders is dan normaal? Laat het controleren.

Voor alle vrouwen die ermee te maken hebben, hebben gehad of iemand moeten missen. 💗
Samen vragen we aandacht. Samen maken we bewust. 🧡🎀

🇧🇼 Gaborone hit different! What a gift to be part of this first big event on African soil. The people, the hospitality, the energy, unmatched!! No 🧢

Working together with the team was a joy again, being close to the athletes inspiring as always. Four tickets won for Beijing 27, new experiences gained, moving on to outdoor season!

💥 Tokyo 2025, we did it!

Looking back at the @wchtokyo25 I’m most proud of two things:

☝🏻The athletes: the circumstances were challenging, but they all gave their best. Ending up 4th in the medal tally is huge for a small country like The Netherlands!
✌🏻The team: also for all the coaches and support staff, this was a challenging campagne. But with a positieve attitude and hard work, we did it and (most of the times) had fun doing it. Grateful to be part of this team!

Big thanks to all the @atletiekunienl colleagues who were not there, but gave us the support from home. And @asics, for opening their doors for us 🫶🏻🇯🇵
