One of the things I love doing at the end of the year is looking at my top 9 — the 9 photos that got the most attention on Instagram throughout the year. I like trying to figure what it is that makes a post notable. Is it a great caption? Beautiful lighting? A special venue? Or a gorgeous couple and fun yellow dress like Julia’s?? No matter. Julia and Ken were a dream to photograph at the @themanorhouseco earlier this year. And they are amazing photographers to boot!! Definitely check them out if you have a wedding, anniversary, or engagement in your future! You won’t be disappointed. ✨

Is anyone else in love with the architecture of the Manor House in Littleton? Ever since we bought our little 1941 colonial in Englewood, we are trying to decide whether to renovate or begin again, and I can’t stop noticing pretty architectural details on every white house I see! 🏛 Fun fact: The Manor House was built in 1914 and was designed by the same architect who worked on the Brown Palace and Oxford hotels, the two oldest hotels in Denver.

Hi guys 🙋🏼‍♀️ It’s Julia and Ken and we don’t get in front of the camera very often! Luckily @michele_with_one_l knew EXACTLY what she was doing and made posing for our headshots really easy and fun without ever saying „act natural“ 😂 because that’s what great photographers (don’t) do 😁 Thank you Michele for being so wonderful to work with!!

We’re Julia and Ken, the husband and wife wedding photography team behind J&K and here are a few fun facts about us!

We recently swapped out the Pacific Ocean for the Rocky Mountains and relocated from California to Denver, Colorado!

We got married on our six year anniversary in the beautiful central coast town of Carmel - a town that will always hold a special place in our heart. 🍴🍸
When we’re not photographing weddings, we love spending time exploring new restaurants and bars around town.

Ken’s got a green thumb and he likes taking care of his green babies - that’s why our home looks like a jungle! Yay!

If I had to choose between sweet or savory, I would choose cake. I can’t keep my hands off desserts and my ideal breakfast is a huge mug of coffee with something sweet 🙊
