Road Runner. 🌵🔥

Sotol, nopales, roasted tomatillo, chiltepan + agave, paired with a cucumber-cilantro popsicle. A little taste of the Sonoran Desert.

A little rain was never gonna stop Philly from showing up.

We spent last Sunday at the @dirtyrocksphilly cocktail competition at @fringebarphilly, and from the moment we walked in, the energy was unmatched.

Nine of Philly’s incredibly talented bartenders stepped behind the bar to compete, each bringing their own creativity, flavor, and personality into every cocktail. But what made this competition even better? There were no judges. The people got to sip, vote, and decide who took home the win.

Between the waterfront views, DJ, ice luge,
amazing food, and catching up with so many people in Philly’s hospitality community, this felt like more than a competition it felt like a celebration of the city’s cocktail culture.

Rain or shine, Philly always knows how to show out.

Already looking forward to the next one.

TALES 2026

It’s funny how perspective works.

When you’re starting out, you spend Tales trying to work up the courage to introduce yourself to the people you’ve looked up to for years.

Then one day you look through your camera roll and realize they’re the people you shared breakfast with, hugged goodbye, debated cocktails with at 2 a.m., or promised to see again soon.

I don’t think that happens because time passes. I think it happens because this community has a remarkable way of making room for people who keep showing up.

It asks a lot of you. It celebrates you, challenges you, humbles you, and occasionally breaks your heart. But it also gives back in ways that are impossible to measure.

Thirteen years later, I’m still in awe of what this community has given me, and even more excited about what we still get to build together.

Grateful 🥲 reflective, and ready to keep building.

So incredibly honored to be included with so many phenomenal peers in @vinepair ‘s Best New Bartenders Class of 2026. I never would have thought this seemingly simple endeavor would lead me to such great heights and such incredible company. Thank you to all those who have and continue to support me in my journey. Can’t wait to keep sharing my experiences in this insane roller coaster I get to call my career

My home away from home with @tblechman @mdahill413 @messkatiemac
My mom for getting me to make this account @wandererkelly and sister for being my rock @rrileyburgerr
The incredible @its.jka who first took the chance on me
Too many others to mention, the support has been unreal

I’m so humbled to officially announce I’m in the @vinepair Best New Bartender class of 2026! It has been such an honor and a pleasure getting to know my fellow classmates and the VinePair staff better, and I can’t fully express how grateful I feel to be counted among these truly talented bartenders.

VinePair was generous enough to bring everyone to New York for an immersion experience that included media training, a roundtable with some of the most decorated bar managers and owners in New York, a friendly midday cocktail competition with our incredible sponsor @luxardousa (accompanied by a Top Chef-style shopping challenge and thunderstorm), as well as headshots, networking, and a beautiful celebration dinner at @maisonpremiere .

This is a distinction I’m so proud to share with this group of professionals, and I cannot wait to see what happens next on this journey. Thank you, VinePair, Luxardo, my fellow BNBs, and all my mentors, family, friends and supporters!
