A little December recap to go along with my end of year reflection.😁💕✨
As I get older, I learn more and more what it looks like to balance gratitude with unmet expectations. Here’s what that looked like in 2025 in a nutshell:
🪩 Though I don’t feel like I’m where I would like to be in my work/career, I’m grateful that I went out for new opportunities this year (including an audition I’ve wanted to do for a LONG time!) and get to work with the sweetest kiddos at the dance studio. I also get to do meaningful work at the counseling center — a job that I never thought I would be in but that has taught me so much!
🪩 Though I would love to fall in love and get married one day, I am so grateful for my incredible family that is so very present and caring. I also have some pretty spectacular friends who make my life colorful and entertaining!
🪩 Though I haven’t yet reached my financial goals, I am so thankful that I’m much closer to them now than I was a year ago without bending over backwards to get there.
🪩 Though I still don’t feel as confident in myself as I would like to, I’m grateful that I went out and tried the things that scared me, like the audition, applying for the new job, and trying out for a fashion show!
🪩 Though my daily rhythms with the Lord don’t look like what they used to, I am so, SO grateful that He hasn’t forgotten me and His love for me never changes. I am comforted to know that there is grace for the journey, and it’s never too late to start again.
May we never forget that we have power, agency, and choices to co-create a beautiful and meaningful life with the God who created us.❤️ It’s never too late to begin again. Thank you, 2025, and hello 2026!🎉🎊🥳👏

Here’s the really real reality of what happened for me in 2024 — the good, the bad, and everything in between!
💎 I went into 2024 with 18 goals, and I accomplished 14 of them!
💎 My Colorado Christian girl community has grown by leaps and bounds, and that has been one of the biggest blessings of the year!🥰
💎 I felt like I had overcame toxic thoughts I had been struggling with for years, and while I did make significant progress, I fell back into the struggle by the middle of the year. I’m still praying for breakthrough and for God to do what I am unable to do in my own strength.🙏
💎 I traveled more in 2024 than I have in my entire life!✈️🌍❤️ I went on a birthday/girl’s trip to NYC, another birthday trip to Cancun (courtesy of my generous sister, @_kasielynn ), and a family trip to Greece plus a cruise through the Mediterranean!!!
💎 This year was the hardest year for me and… guys.🤣 I’m proud of myself for trying, but in the end, there were painful things that happened that I’m grateful to leave in 2024. I’m still staying hopeful and continuing to pray for whatever God has for me in this area of my life.🙏
💎 I dove head first, with gusto, into social dancing.💃 From East Coast to Country Swing, there’s rarely a week that goes by where I’m not out on the dance floor!✨
💎 God has done some pruning in my life in 2024 that 2023 Maddie simply would not have been ready for.😅 He’s calling me to action, and it’s time to respond.
💎 I started studying Digital Marketing in September of this year and am halfway to completing my certificate!!!
💎 I broke down sobbing at a red light as I cried out to God for breakthrough only for the person in the car in front of me to be looking through their rear view mirror like😳… haha!🤣
💎 And last but not least, this year, I have never before felt the deep, warm, overwhelming love from the people who truly care for me.❤️ It’s not that it hasn’t always been there, but it was like something unlocked in me where I could finally feel the fullness of what it means to be truly loved at your lowest times. My appreciation for my family and close friends has only grown larger this year — thanks be to God!🥰

After ten years of being at PPCC, I received my diploma!🎓 I started college when I was eighteen before I went off to pursue my professional career as a ballet dancer. Once I started in my career, I only took a few courses here and there when I wasn’t in a busy season. After I left my dance career, I knew I had to finish what I started so many years ago. I decided to hunker down and finish my degree in Communications. I wanted to finish not because I had a specific job in mind that required that I have this degree, but because it was important to me to complete what I began when I was eighteen. This was my first graduation ceremony ever, and it may not be my last, but that part is still up in the air😄 For now, I am going to rejoice in the fact that all the hard work over the last ten years has paid off, and God is preparing me for the next step in my career! I cannot wait to see what happens next❤️
Side note: I included a blooper pic at the very end. I don’t understand why my face does what it does sometimes🤣

Y’all, I know it’s October, but aimlessly wandering around a Christmas store with my family for an hour is a sure way to bring a smile to my face, even if you can’t see it under the mask😷😄 It’s been a magical day🎄🎁✨
