What’s up pop punkers! I’m very proud of the new @k7spunkrock album “Take 2” out now on @stardumbrecords I’ve known @walruswaswe for years now, and he’s always been such a great friend. Since The Leftovers days playing Four Seasons Club in Castellon - we’ve connected on our love for Lookout Records pop punk. He’s a great songwriter and I’ve always loved his groups. When I moved to Spain , I was lucky to be involved in musical projects that spanned the entire peninsula, and because I seemed to be hot wired to never stop, with that, Luis asked me to play bass and sing backups for a new project he was working on. When he sent me the songs they were labeled in a folder that said “K7” - Spanish lingo for cassette - basically, demos. My low tiered intermediate español wasn’t hip yet so I was like “Dude, I love the band name!” and K7s were born. The “Take 1” album saw us playing more in Italy than our homes in Spain, and with this new album we hope to tour the hell outta Slovenia! Before I left Spain to move to New York, I was able to squeeze in a quick trip down to Benicassim to record bass and backing vocals with Luis for this album. It was a much needed session as my life was kinda a mess at the time… and now to hear the record it really makes me happy to know that even when times are tough, music and friends will always guide you through the bullshit. Much props to @raul_puk2 for making the record sound top notch. And of course, Stefan at Stardumb for releasing it. When I was 15 Stardumb Records was my favorite label and it continues to be so. Go rock it now! The vinyl sounds great, the tunes are awesome.

Excited to announce pop punk veterans K7s return to the scene with “Take Two”, their long awaited second album (or third if you include their splendid “Mondo Bizarro” cover album). The first single ‘Christina’ is streaming everywhere now and the album is available for pre-order from @stardumbrecords (EU), @themachineshoprocks (US), @brassneckrecords (UK), and @endlessdetentionrecords (AU) right now! On “Take Two” the band spoils us with 12 songs that vary in sound from classic power pop to furious punk rock bangers. Seasoned songwriter Luis Sanchez (Depressing Claim, Los Reactivos) is able to follow up the dark and angst-driven stomper ‘Only Human’ with the sugar sweet love song ‘Marry You’, or treat you with one of the most beautiful pop songs you’ve heard all the year (‘The Beginning Of The End’, featuring great backing vocals by bassist Kurt Baker) only to almost knock you out right after that with the politically charged ’T.R.U.M.P.’, and make it all flow perfectly and sound equally great. Available on Space Blue vinyl, Black vinyl, and CD!
