🌿We are living surrounded by blossoms, buds,aureoles and tendrils - Kate Braine’s perfectly formed Slash Bowl and Georgia Beaumont’s Buttercups are 2 of the beauties on show at The Violet Hour - Notting Hill - DM for appointments- just one more week🌱

🍃”Now as I was young and easy under the apple boughs
About the lilting house and happy as the grass was green,
The night above the dingle starry,
Time let me hail and climb
Golden in the heydays of his eyes,
And honoured among wagons I was prince of the apple towns
And once below a time I lordly had the trees and leaves
Trail with daisies and barley
Down the rivers of the windfall light.”🍃

🩵Buddleia by Georgia Beaumont is at The Violet Hour ANTHOLOGIA show in Notting Hill - DM for an appointment to view this week🌱

Beaumont regards the natural world as a mirror image of our own inner landscape, thoughts and emotions🍃For this reason, observing nature, researching its symbolism and finding solace in its cyclical constancy, is essential to her practice.

🩵Anthologia- a collection of flowers - has been a year long show 12 Artists🌱12 Poems🌱12 Months- we are delighted to bring it to a close with the wonderful celebration of nature that is embodied in these works 🩵We are also showing some sinuously beautiful ceramics and celebrating the almost unlimited creative talent of Kate Braine🩵

💚 Launching today 🌿Anthologia Volumes XI and XII 🌿The waving, weaving, vibrant, lilting curlicues and tendrils of Georgia Beaumont’s oil paintings and Kate Braine’s ceramics - ALL of them SO beautifully respondent to the poem Fern Hill by Dylan Thomas:

🌿Now as I was young and easy under the apple boughs
About the lilting house and happy as the grass was green,
The night above the dingle starry,
Time let me hail and climb
Golden in the heydays of his eyes,
And honoured among wagons I was prince of the apple towns
And once below a time I lordly had the trees and leaves
Trail with daisies and barley
Down the rivers of the windfall light.🌿

🌺 We are ALSO thrilled to welcome Helen Kirwan-Taylor and her celebration of floral forms - joyous, winding, bending, AND rampant … so much more than paper flowers.. and yet somehow that is essentially what they are 🌺

We loved this year’s edition of House of Pots! 🏺

Promoted by ceramic artist Kate Brainie and Preston Fitzgerald, the #Chelsea exhibition provides the opportunity to see the wide range of contemporary works coming from the use of different clays, different styles and different technologies. @k8brainepots @fitzartsadvisory

It was a pleasure to see sagain creators we met before, including @ryanbarrettceramics , alongside the beautiful artworks by @annasilverton
@carolyntceramics @cazhildebrand
@coleridgedaria @ianthompson_ceramics @ikukoikik
@ren_bauer @rabyaalfadl @maiaflaiart

Styles include designs with crystalline, raku, celadon, slip and many unique handmade glazes. Wheel thrown, hand built and slip cast are some of the methods the artist uses to create ceramic vessels and sculptures. Technologies used range from the traditional electric kilns, gas kilns and wood fired kilns to the cutting edge of digital technology, virtual reality and 3D clay printing.
