I truly cannot encapsulate what this silly org means to me. Saying goodbye isn’t an easy thing, so I’m just going to ramble and y’all bear with me.

@livelaughlugo, you were the most magical first year experience. You brought out the best in me and helped me blossom into the person I wanted to be. You taught me what it meant to love this place and the people in it. Live laugh Lugo!🩵

@buzz.lightfoot, you taught me how to create that magic for other people while still finding it for myself. You showed me just how much fun this all can be when you choose to make the most of it!💜

@dancenomordica, you are my rainbow connection. I finally understand why there are so many songs about rainbows and what’s on the other side. This has, without a doubt, been the best thing I have ever done. Every single one of you is spectacular, weird, hilarious, and so perfect. Seeing you all at Lakeview, watching everything come together so beautifully, and then winning the yell off with 43 campers there… I can’t explain it. I don’t think I ever will. You created a culture that could, and DID, defy all odds. We are a beautiful collection of amazing people. The lovers, the dreamers, and me!💚🌈

@audriestaudenmier, thank you for being the yin to my yang. We had a vision built on intentionality and personality, and somehow we exceeded every expectation we set for ourselves time and time again. I am so incredibly proud of you, and I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else by my side through all of this. I am so unbelievably blessed that Fish Camp gave me a best friend, too!!

@dylantbell17, thank you for letting me turn you into a Muppet and not being freaked out by it. Most people would be, but you saw how much it meant to me and embraced it anyway. Thank you for everything you’ve done. Dylan Butch forever!

And lastly, @sessionfierce… The last thing I expected was to be in the perfect session, but thank goodness I was. I genuinely could not have asked for better people to go through this with. Each of you means the world to me, and I will forever be grateful that Fish Camp brought us all together!

After 12 trips to Lakeview, 5 summers, and 4 years, my journey in Fish Camp has come to an end. This organization defined my college experience, and I’m blessed to have something so special that it’s hard to say goodbye.

Camp Simpson, thank you for kickstarting my time at A&M and reassuring me that Aggieland was the right decision.

Camp Halstead, thank you for giving me my first place to call home and showing me I could make a difference.

Camp Majors, thank you for teaching me to lead and fill others’ cups.

Camp Brown, thank you for rebuilding my confidence in building others up.

Camp Fisher, y’all are everything to me. Watching y’all grow over the last few months, and seeing it all unfold at Lakeview has been the most fulfilling experience of my life. Y’all taught me so much, and pushed me to bring my best for y’all every day. Each of y’all has impacted me and so many others, and I couldn’t have imagined a better group to end my time in this org with.

Kaitlyn, my perfect partner, none of this would have been possible without you. You’ve been my rock these last 7 months and poured everything into this camp, even when your own cup was empty. Camp Fisher wouldn’t be Camp Fisher without you, and I’m thankful to have had my best friend by my side through it all. You truly are the reason that 24 anonymous applications became a family, and I’m so grateful for you.

Kim, you are the true embodiment of what it means to be a namesake. Representing your name has been an honor, and I couldn’t thank you and Roger enough for your dedication to our camp! You’re everything Kaitlyn and I could’ve hoped for in a namesake.

Thank you so much for everything, Fish Camp. You changed my life. It’s more than an organization, and I’m eternally grateful for every memory and relationship built over these years.

Man oh man, God is faithful and kind to have brought me @the.godfisher !!

The strength, passion, and dedication that my camp has for the mission of Fish Camp blows my mind!! I am eternally grateful for my namesake, chairs, fellow counselors, and camp!! Especially @michael.cogginss !! Truly perfect partz!!

Psalm 73:26 has carried me through this whole journey and I wanted to share it-
“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
I don’t know about you, but I fail. A lot. College, especially experiences like Fish Camp, are hard. Failure is inevitable. BUT GOD!! He carried me and revealed himself and his plans to me though this experience in the most incredible ways!! He gave me the best friends, freshmen, and DG I could ever want!!
