“Reset”, Katie B.

During a First Friday I lucked out and saw Katie B. I asked her if she’d participate on my project. She was willing and contributed a word. During the interview, she said that she was glad that I was doing this project specifically at this location and talked about her connection to the area. This got me thinking about how I could add this question to the questions that I had been asking in these interviews. Asking everyone about their connection to the area after this added a lot of context to the subsequent interviews. Thanks a million Katie!

_ Could you state your name please?

_ My name is Katie.

second question:
_ Could you describe in one word, what it was like for you to go through the pandemic?

_ Yes, I would say Reset. So, I personally love that this installation was done here. Because, I stop here all the time when I go skating. It’s like a nice spot to just kind of people watch and take in the community. So…

_ So, you have a connection to this area?

_ I do. I do. I love it down here. I actually live down here as well. So, …definitely my community.

It's been crazy these past 2 months, finally rolling into night shifts at work with much more to come. I've accomplished a full nocturnal lifestyle. Breakfast is now Dinner. The Sun is my moon.
