Under Friday-night lights and autumn skies,
Where the field held dreams before our eyes,
We ran, we stumbled, we rose again—
A season built on sweat and men.
High-school halls heard every score,
But the lessons lived so much deeper than before.
Not just wins, not just the grind—
Coach Kastelic shaped the heart, the mind.
He taught us how a leader stands,
Not loud, but steady, with open hands.
He saw the spark before I did,
The fire buried in a hesitant kid.
When drills felt endless, when hope ran thin,
He pushed us harder—so we’d learn to win
Not just on turf, but in life’s storms,
Finding strength in our own forms.
Every pass, every sprint, every fall,
He showed me how to rise through it all.
And in the echoes of each practiced hour,
I learned resilience, courage, power.
So here’s to the season that carved who I’ll be,
And the coach who believed long before me.
Louis Kastelic—you left your mark,
A guiding light in a world gone dark.
When I chase my goals in the years ahead,
I’ll hear your words, every one you said.
Thank you, Coach, for the path you paved—
For the boy you taught, and the person you saved.
