The GCXC Two Face Challenge was one for the books. 💚🧌

This weekend I stepped way outside my comfort zone and completed both the 10K road race and the 10K(ish) trail race.

Believe it or not, this was only my second trail race ever. My first attempt ended in a DNF after making a wrong turn at Murrysville Monster, and before the preview run I hadn’t spent any time on trails. Trail racing honestly intimidated me.

That’s why I’m so grateful for the GCXC community. From the incredible staff, to my fellow ambassadors, to the experienced trail runners who were so willing to share advice and encouragement, I learned so much. GCXC creates an environment where trying something new feels exciting instead of scary, and having that kind of support is truly special.

It wasn’t my strongest race, but I’m proud of what I accomplished:
🥉 3rd Overall Female – Road 10K
🥈 2nd Overall Female – Trail 10K (7-ish miles)
🥈 2nd Overall Female – Two Face Challenge

The running community means more to me than I can put into words. Thank you, GCXC, for giving me a place to learn, grow, challenge myself, and be surrounded by such incredible people. Here’s to many more trail adventures ahead! 🏃🏼‍♀️🌲💜

How do you even begin to pick just a few favorite running photos?
In January 2024, running went from something I enjoyed to something I prioritized — and it’s been one of the best decisions of my adult life.
