So honored to have photographed Chloe, class of 2025, from Mayo High School. Chloe has a passion for music, so we wanted to showcase that in all the usual ways. She brought her instruments and posed with them. In fact, she has a violin and the coolest pink guitar! After we got those shots, we broke out some trim that is typically used in sewing to make a cool effect. The trim had musical notes on it and since the sun was low and bright in the sky, it made the perfect shadow across her face and arm. Fun fact: Holding the trim closer to Chloe, yielded a more sharp image, so it was a tricky endeavor to be able to do that and keep the hands of my assistant out of the shot. But we made it work! The black and white images really makes this technique pop. There were many successful image but I like these two the most. Love her connection to the camera in the first image and the way her eye makeup and lips are showcased in the second image. Which is your favorite? 1 or 2 ?
