When we get together to support each other, everything becomes the way it was meant to be. This was a great example of how everyone can unite and support each other to build something meaningful. Now, I want us to build @casa__fe together to serve all of us. Our intention is to have a Farmers Market this Sunday, October 18th, with music all day! 2 months of being your mommy!🧸Ocean is now smiling on queue, holding his head up for a period of time, sleeps longer at night (4hrs) and stays up longer through the day. He is such a happy baby and loves cuddles! He’s solely breastfed which takes up most of my day but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. My sweet baby boy, we love you so much!

Friday was our first Marginalia showcase in NYC ❤️
A fun b2b with Niki Sadeki, tested a lot of new material and very grateful for everyone who came out.

Saturday I was back at Do Not Sit after a long time.
Super fun night and finally tested some unreleased IDs that have been sitting on my USB for a while.

Sunday I spent the day with my good friend Sinego, who played a Marginalia track and our unreleased collaboration at his Casa Neos show. Was fun to witness.

Even squeezed in a work out sessions and hugs with friends <3 Kaan, Melodi, Alaya, Manar, Dani, Cory, Emel, Sky, Lili, Ella, K.eem & more 🙏🏻

Very full weekend. Very little sleep. Very grateful.

I also read a lot of Women’s Day messages this weekend from colleagues; both male and female.

And it made me realize I actually have quite A LOT to say about what it feels like to be a woman in this scene… and honestly just walking this earth in women’s shoes in general.

But I didn’t want to squeeze everything into one post on one day. I want the conversation to go beyond Women’s Day.

So over the next weeks I’ll share some thoughts about things like tokenism, how it feels being called someone’s “favorite female DJ”, when you hustle and succeed and people say it’s “luck”, and some of the small things that happen behind the scenes that people don’t always notice.

And also an honest conversation about what I feel I could do better myself from my side as a label manager.

For now though… I’m just recovering from this long, beautiful weekend.

Grateful to travel, play music, connect and share. With the current state of the world, it feels like a privilege more than ever.

Going on month 5 of wearing my natural hair… I’m still a little unfamiliar with this version of myself due to the fact I’ve had relaxed hair for almost 30 years (with the exception of when I was bald). I really love this new me, I feel more beautiful, calm and happy :)
