Almost five months later, and I’m still trying to process what Silk Society became.

What started as a vision inspired by opulence, grandeur, and the endless pursuit of spectacle turned into something far more meaningful than I ever expected.

Silk Society was created to revive — and question — a world built on excess. A world where beauty is performed, luxury is displayed, and admiration is currency. But standing on that stage, surrounded by these incredible women, I was reminded that the most valuable thing was never the spectacle itself.

It was the trust.
The commitment.
The late rehearsals.
The laughter, the stress, the exhaustion.
The love that filled every moment of this journey.

To every dancer who shared this stage with me: thank you for believing in the vision and bringing it to life with your talent, energy, and heart. You transformed an idea into an experience I’ll never forget.

Special thanks to @yolena.kapoli & @eirinidam . Your support, guidance, and help throughout this process were invaluable. So much of what happened on that stage was possible because of your dedication behind the scenes, and I’m deeply grateful for everything you contributed to this journey.

And to everyone who watched, supported, cheered, and connected with the piece—thank you for seeing us. The amount of love this work received was overwhelming in the most beautiful way.

To the judges @billroxenos @saraganem.chalil @eirinidam @lovebrinnnicole @jordanberlin , thank you for your time, your thoughtful feedback, and for recognizing the work, passion, and artistry that went into this performance. It was an honor to share Silk Society with you.

Silk Society may have been about a world of luxury and ornament, but what I carry with me months later is something much richer: the people who made it possible.

Forever grateful. ✨
