I’ve spent the past three summers at Bard College pursuing an MFA in Music/Sound with some of the most inspiring people I’ve ever met. Deeply committed to lifelong sound and music practices and actionably antagonistic towards the ways institutions violate and reduce artworks which aren’t so easily commodified. Bard College is a slumlord host institution which exploits the underpaid faculty and staff and debt ridden students, and forces people to overcompensate for its lack of support and resources- it makes its artists overworked care workers within an abusive dysfunctional familial hierarchy. Even using similar language of sacrificing and obligation to rope people into extending themselves beyond their capacities. That said, I am incredibly inspired by everyone who worked through these past three summers with me and thankful to so many. Somehow we sustained an abundance of care and support. Some of my fondest (and worst lol) memories remain here. Thank you to everyone who helped me through this program

So many thank yous to so many people for an amazing -also highly chaotic- summer at @bardmfa. This summer I experimented in many different ways around vibration -with subwoofers, transducers, vibration motors- and worked and thought around resonant bodies, earthquakes, touch, fear and desire, humor and the sublime. Bryce @iv_act, Elin @kuoe000 and I also invented a Mini Vibration Orchestra.

Special mention to all the Music/Sound people (students and faculty) and the Bourne dorm for all the love. A toast to new friendship ✨
