Early last year I was lucky enough to live in Byron Bay for 4 months whilst we filmed ‘Take My Hand’ in the surrounding areas. We were worried about rain, but instead, we got the most perfect sunny day for Tia & Ignacio's wedding on Hayman Island. 🌞🏝️

(The rain came down hard the next day—talk about lucky!)

It also happened to be Spanish Day, which felt like a fun coincidence with Ignacio being from Spain 🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸

In honour of #WorldMSDay I am delighted to share the trailer for the upcoming feature film, #TakeMyHandTheMovie - in Australian cinemas August 29.

It was an privilege to be Hair and Makeup Designer for this film along with a hard working and talented team of artists @katrinahearnartistry @lukeanthonyspace and @mophieee .. incredibly proud of everyone’s work.

With MS as a central theme, Take My Hand aims to raise awareness and understanding of the disease. MS is the most common chronic neurological condition affecting young adults, often diagnosed between ages 20 to 40, and is three times more prevalent in women than men. The disease occurs when the immune system mistakenly attacks myelin, the fatty material around nerves, leading to varied symptoms as no two people experience MS the same way.

Designed the hair and makeup on a film last year, it came out in November, it’s also been nominated for an AACTA Award for Best Indie Film ✨ quite proud of what the HMU team achieved (despite some setbacks, like me getting COVID on Week 1 of shooting/establishing cast and Katrina falling down stairs and hurting her ankle, losing some mobility but keeping shit together) so here she is with the cutie @rekharyan_ ✨
And now recently, my standby palette melting from this insane heat, being fortunate enough to work with really supportive and kind women, and three things I watched recently that I LOVED! (2 out of 3 coincidentally have Frances McDormand in it, not mad about it) and my hair is finally growing (bigger not longer, also not mad about it) 🌸
