📍Kacao, Birmingham

An Emirati-inspired spot located within the AQ food hall. Here were our thoughts:

🍕 Butter Chicken Croissant Pizza - Unfortunately this missed the mark. The sauce tasted watered down and straight from a bottle, the cheese was not properly melted and it was quite greasy. The croissant element was also indistinguishable. Overall, it reminded us of airplane food 😬

🌯 Harissa Chicken BBQ Wrap - A decent wrap with nicely cooked chicken, good sauce and a touch of spice. There was a bit too much salad compared to chicken, and not much harissa or BBQ flavour came through. The tater tots were banging though 🔥

🍰 Cakes - The Strawberry Cheesecake had a strong strawberry flavour without tasting artificially sweet. The Pistachio & Blueberry Cake was light and airy, with both flavours working nicely together 👌🏽

🥤 Milkshake - ‘The Burj’ genuinely very good. Great consistency, authentic pistachio and just the right amount of Bueno flavour 🤤

A mixed experience overall, with the desserts and drinks leaving the better impression.
