Finally moved this sweet girl into her dorm today. It’s been such a blessing to have her home the last two weeks. I’m sure going to miss her smart jokes, I’m pretty sure she’s the funniest person in the family 😂 Have the BEST year! Dream big, work hard and never change who you are. You are such a ray of sunshine and I love you SO much! God has such an amazing plan for you. Love you sis!

Soaking up the last week before we send the second beauty off! Year 2! Some will call it an empty nest, I think I’ll call it a front-row seat to watch my girls spread their wings, find their way, chase big dreams, and become exactly who God created them to be.

And somehow, that doesn’t feel empty to me at all. The nest did its job. My birds are ready to soar, and I get the incredible privilege of watching it happen.

The view from here is going to be pretty amazing!!!🍿 @kadence_ann, @kailyn.carl08

Celebrating the big 2-0! Though it’s fun to celebrate my birthday, may Christ get all the honor, glory and praise. He’s blessed me by bringing so many special people into my life. I cannot wait to see what he does in this next year of my life!

Her grad cap sparkled and her ribbon lei told her story. It was the perfect day. I am so so proud of her, I think she knows that. I love to celebrate my girls. There are no words to describe how you feel when your youngest child reaches 18. Like where did the days go? I want to snuggle that sweet baby one more time. Those eyes have always been the window to your soul, I love you so much. Happy 18th birthday @kailyn.carl08 I know I’m a few days late to post but I’ve just been soaking it all up. Now let’s get you graduated!!! 🤗😩😩😩

#bloomsday2026 #forcedfamilyfun #seniorsunday

We did it! (Long Story Post) Bloomsday 12K, 50th Anniversary. Honestly, just having my girls there with me is the best Mother’s Day/birthday gift I could’ve asked for. Time with my built-in best friends. I did Bloomsday in 2005 so this was a full circle moment. I am 3 years out from a full hip replacement, and there was a time I couldn’t imagine doing anything like this again. Recovery has been long, frustrating, and exhausting. Progress, setbacks, repeat. But this year felt different. On January 1st, my sisters challenged all of us to walk at least one mile every single day, no excuses. Snow, freezing temps, rain, being sick… we showed up anyway. That one mile turned into two, then 2–3 most days (and yes… some days I’m literally looping my kitchen 97 times just to get it done 😅). Today I realized I’m down 60 lbs from the day of my surgery. Still kind of in shock typing that. No quick fixes over here, it’s been a long hard journey.

Next goal: hot girl summer… but make it strong, not skinny 💪🏼

If you’ve seen me out walking these past few months, chances are I’ve recruited you at some point and honestly, that’s been the best part. The love and support, the chats, the company, it has meant the world. With empty nesting around the corner, it finally feels like we’re stepping into a new chapter where we have time for ourselves, too.

Here’s to strength, health, and heading into 45 feeling better than ever.

PS: Who’s dressing up with me for Bloomsday next year?! 🦄🦄🦄?!?

#seniorsunday It’s official! Kai will be venturing off to the beach to attend Cal Poly San Luis Obispo!!! Beyond proud of her hard work through highschool to be eligible for such an amazing opportunity. The campus tour was so fun! We got to meet her new roommate @kalliep_08 who is an absolute blessing of a sweet girl and she even ran into a super old friend from Texas! @apark.11 Such a small world. It’s going to be one heck of an adventure! 🏖️☀️🏖️
