Why Kaelyn wanted to be a GL:
"Freshman year can pull you in a lot of different directions. John 15 kept me grounded and gave me a place free of judgement. I want to be that safe space for the freshman."

Fun facts with Kaelyn:
- She can play 5 instruments🎸🥁🎹(she carries a harmonica with her everywhere)
- She's been to 10 different countries🛫🚇🧳
- She just got a new puppy🐶🐾(ask to see pics)
- She can beatbox🎵

In Kaelyn's freetime, she enjoys running🏃‍♀️👟, playing sports⚽️🥎(IMLeagues pro), tanning☀️, watching movies with friends🖥📺, and cooking👩‍🍳

"Don't be afraid to ask the Lord for help. Sometimes we get caught up thinking we can do it all on our own, but you can't and you don't have to."

There are thousands of things I could put in this post but truly this summer left me with so much that I can’t put into words.
It left me with a love for countless saints.
It left me with some pink hair.
It left me wanting to spend everyday in adoration.
It left me with the perfect news anchor voice.
It left me with a sense of joy in every moment.
It left me with a bubble gun and an endless supply of bubbles.
It left me with a relationship with the Lord.
It left me with countless kids, many of which called me mom.
It left me counting butterflies!
It left me with an absurd knowledge of line dances.
It left me yearning to ‘be saved from the gloomy Saints.’
It left me with insane RC car driving skills.
It left me Rosary knowing & Rosary Loving.
It left me being haunted by cheese for weeks.
It left me with consistency in prayer.
It left me loving Tony Chachere’s.
It left me with more Sisters in Christ than I ever knew I needed.
It left me with bangs, for the first time since I was 7.
It left me wanting to be the Best Child of God I could ever strive to be.

This summer was everything I never knew I needed. With everyone that passed through my life this summer, know always that I truly am a beater one for the knowing of you. So for now, this is McQueen signing off ⚡️

That’s a wrap on The Pines 2026!!!

Working here the last three summers has taught me so much about myself but most importantly so much about God. I’ve never been in a place that has shown me so much light and love through others. The people I’ve met here are truly my chosen family who I hope to continue to help get to heaven. I’m forever changed by this place, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds. I am honestly such a better one for the knowing of yall!

7 camper summers, 1 SWAT summer, and 1 counselor summer is in the books!

After so many years of the pines serving me, I got to give a little back. If you know me then you know how much this place and these people mean to me. Everyone I encountered this summer played a part in the Lord’s plan for me. If I could call all of you out by name I would, but then this would just go on forever.

Whether you were my camper, co, or fellow staff member know how grateful I am for you. I love every single one of you, and I see Jesus so clearly in all of you. I truly am a better one for the know of you.

A John 15 summer!!!!!!

"Abide in me, and I in you" meaning remaining in an intimate, living relationship with Christ, the True Vine. To abide in Him is to draw life from Him, as a branch draws life from the vine. Apart from Him, nothing of lasting spiritual value can be done.

A transformational summer of countless & unexpected blessings. This place, these people, His true presence, and every encounter has shown me how evident and intentional the Lord is in all that He does. My life is forever changed by The Pines. PTL!!!! Scubaaaaa out ✌️

With all Glory to God

The Lord has made all things ordinary extraordinary this summer. When thinking of The Pines all that comes to mind are the words profound, intentional, and gratitude. That sums up the way the Lord works through not only staff but the campers to continually convert our hearts while at camp. The joy that comes from saying yes to the Lords call is something words can’t fully express. I am forever thankful for the friendships and growth camp has fostered throughout the years and the second home it’s gifted me with. I’m a better one for the knowing of you.
