You say cheese pie we say tyropita! 4 cheeses (graviera, feta, haloumi, anari), eggs from my dad’s chickens, sourdough bread crumbs, toasted sesame seeds.
Hearty, homey, delicious!

Baked fresh every morning for @kafeneiokipos

I won’t say that I’m a person who does elaborate cakes and pastries - far from it actually - but i am a true lover of all things nice!! My son is now running a small coffee shop and the obvious thing was to be baking the goodies for him. I test and bake and try to keep things simple, delicious, homey and mamadistika (Greek for describing something that is homey - made by a mom). I love coconut cakes (as much as I love orange cakes) so I twisted my mom’s old recipe and make these fresh and delicious cuties! I reduced the sugar a bit, replaced the milk in the recipe with coconut milk (no I didn’t tell my mom 😂), I grind my own coconut for more flavor and I add a tsp of bitter orange essence in the syrup for a beautiful twist.
You never stop learning, you never stop creating and you never stop wanting to be better - the beautiful journey of life ❤️
