Freiburg and Basel 2025: Part 1
Please do invite me to come visit because I absolutely will. Shout out to my sister Anastasia, @dj.hardnipple, for hosting to me to the absolute max for an unforgettable time. Went to Basel Switzerland during Art Basel but didn’t go to Art Basel just waltzed around the city with the funniest tour guide ever (Anastasia). Basel inspired me to want to go back to school and study Urban Planning (maybe one day) but it also confirmed I like to read about artists and art more than experience it directly (although I do do do love that too) like what’s the story behind it all???

1. Sometimes do take the elevator so you don’t miss the group pic
2. We watched the sun set through the spire
3. Four Wheels
4. Free cherries in the park?! Yes please
5. Women are godesses and their movement is powerful
6. “QUICK PHOTO!”
7. When the taco bell moves tooo quickly through you
8. Watch me jump
9. House emoji
10. Pablo
11. Have you ever commuted to work by floating on the Rhine?
12. He is late for work
13. “Ahmed!! We will never forget you” thanks for the sunset joint
14. Sometimes you walk into a gallery and a painting just pulls you and you fall out of time
15. Splish Splash
16. Picasso
17. “Have you ever been to Art Basel on a Saturday?!” “Boom boom boom boom boom!” ........ “I got close”
18. Teal
19. The BIG one
20. I still have this sign

You don’t find this place.
It finds you.

Some experiences don’t begin.
They unfold.

This is NOA.

Post ☝🏽 of 3

Over the past year of travelling I have spoken to many of you about the magical place in Italy that I have been frequenting during my summer months. I’ve meant to follow-up with sending you more info but I forget easily, so I’m putting it here instead :)

Two years ago I trained to become a Breathwork Facilitator with @alchemyofbreath and discovered that they were piloting a land-based community project-come-retreat centre in Italy 🇮🇹 I decided to spend some months volunteering on the project and fell in love with the place.

It exists in a quaint little ex-mining town in the Grossseto province where many of the ex-inhabitants have opted for city dreams and left behind a village with a predominantly ageing population, yet so much potential ✨

ASHA, the retreat centre and community hub envisioned and co-founded by @goveganamyrachelle & Anthony Abbagnano, has been slowly growing over the past couple of years and runs a series of 10-day ‘Breathcamps’ over the summer months. These are Breathwork intensives that serve as landmark moments in the lives of the attendees - an invitation to open to deep intimacy and vulnerability so that the authenticity of self can feel safe, held and blossom 🔥

Along with this, ASHA has created a branch that allows people interested in buying and renting affordable property in the community/area to easily do so. There are currently over 50 people living co-independently in the area. All people there have a similar vision and purpose of moving towards living a self-sustaining life away from the increasing complexities of modern city life. It really is a haven, and I often call it the perfect ‘end of the world’ location🌞

The reason I’m writing this post is so you have all the information in one place, as I invite you to come through and attend a camp/visit the area this summer and onwards…

I share above some of my favourite pictures of the last few summers spent in Castell’Azzara 🙃

More info at www.ASHA.global/Italy or hit me up ✌🏽

With ♥️, Matt

🇮🇹🙏🏽🍃
